Yea, might be different here in the US, though not sure.
I imagine employing 2-4 more people at the same time might affect your bottom line.
Which brings up the question, how big are average gas stations in states like New Jersey…?
Our Texas-based (and other states now) Buc-ee’s down in New Braunfels has 60 gas pumps.
Can you just imagine the number of attendants they’d need if it was required by law…?!!!!! :hilarious:
The biggest gas station in this area (15Km around) is probably like 20 pumps.
But then, the percentage of people owning cars is less.
aaaalso.. There are gas stations like every 2 blocks lol

What is unique in parts of NJ while visiting is that some of the small town gas stations have 2-6 gas pumps, one attendant to pump your gas, and a two car garage for the local mechanic to fix your car . The bathroom is on the outside of the building and the place looks like from the 1960s. I've seen also a WaWa with about 20 pumps and one attendant to pump your gas. Pack a little patience while you are at it. You can't even pump your own gas if you wanted to. The attendant access the pumps with their own security code.

I love a lot of American things (of course) and a couple of years ago I discovered Pluto TV, a free streaming service owned now by CBS and Viacom and as I have a VPN that uses locations I can watch American TV with American adverts and pretend I'm sitting in my resort room:cool: I love the insurance ads, especially the Geico and Liberty Mutual ones, so funny. The only streaming service I have is Disney+, naturally, and they have a US platform too, so I have access to both US and UK Disney+. My house is full of stuff I picked up from WalMart and Target and my last trip I finally discovered Dollar Tree, so much craft stuff and sooooo cheap and most of my clothes were bought over there too, again, soooo cheap. I'm a baseball nut too. Lets Go Mets!

By the way, to any Brits looking at this or Americans with location based VPNs who want to take a look at the UK Pluto platform, it's completely legit althought the British platform is a bit duff.

That's why the Brits come here. Everything is cheaper due to the pound being higher. That's why I never went to school there. When I was that age, pound was double to the dollar. But a post from 2014!!! If I miss a day or two, I just skip, never mind going back to 2014. If I see something interesting, I'll read backwards. I am left handed so it comes naturally to me.

Speaking of reading, I need to pickup my library book....Dune 2.

The last time I saw the Stones was in 1981 at the Cotton Bowl up in Dallas. We drove up from Austin very early the morning of the show to get there early and get a good spot.
We were among about the first 200 people in, and got a spot pretty close to the stage in the center. The Fabulous Thunderbirds and ZZ Top opened for them. During the show they put Jagger in a cherry picker while performing “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” and swung him right over us several times…!!! :)
We went to that concert because the word was that it might be their last tour…and here they are still touring 40 years later (sans Charlie Watts, may he RIP)…!!!!! :hilarious:
Hope y’all had a great time…!!! :)

Back in the day two major groups of tourists would buy merchandise in bulk, buy luggage to bring it back home , the Brazilians and Brits all spending a lot of money at the Orlando discount outlet malls on International Drive. Also one Brit summed it up by saying the food in the USA tastes better than back home. I believe it.
