Nope, sorry. Didn't mean it that way.

What I meant is that sometimes the head chef is working, sometimes the sous chef. Sometimes the kitchen is slammed and your food gets rushed. Sometimes your server is slammed and your food sits for a few minutes longer than it should. And sometimes, you order chicken parm, but then see your partner's tenderloin, and think, "Man, I should have ordered the tenderloin" ... and now all of a sudden, your chicken parm is just meh.

There are a myriad of reasons, day to day, hour to hour, why some folks will sing a restaurant's praises and others will barely give it a passing grade.
I didn't take offense at all. I really like that commercial with Captain Obvious so I was referring to it.

Guessing your DH would beat you out the door. But then again he is the one that said all along boot 'em.

And Yeah, that really is a narcissistic thing he, #1 has going whether it is just bipolar and a bit of paranoia schizophrenia mixed in or both. Much harder on those that have to cope with it than for the afflicted as they only live in their own little manipulated world. My sympathies.
I also feel bad for him. He used to be so full of joy.

Sometimes, when I bid him good night, instead of saying the usual, "I love you", I say, "Goodnight Sunshine. I wish you joy. Abundant joy".

Just so you know, my Hubby is not perfect. In fact, sometimes he is a downright crud! Like tonight.

We had just got in, after going to his office, getting a bite to eat, and picking up a few groceries. Then I had to drive the GF home - actually Ski drove, but I had to be in the front seat.

As I walk back in the door, the cat barfed. No biggie. Except as I start to clean it up, Wiseguy starts to make retching noises for fun.

Long story short, I am still vomit free since December, 1996. But just barely.

We are all BIG fans of naps here, irrespective of age or gender!
Am I right, @Cesar R M?

My DD and I are so envious of those who can nap. I only nap a couple times of year and my DD only when she is really ill, which made college life very difficult for her with school, homework and work. I don't think I've had a nap yet this year. :( I generally function on 4-5 hours of sleep per day. It works somehow.

You are a much "nicer" person then I am, that is for sure. I would have only needed to hear that once before a child of his age were out the door and living in a dumpster, if necessary.

I know, you're all going to gang up on me and tell me how insensitive I am. Fine, do it. I lived to many years with someone with mental illness to have any delusion about how it works. Everyone, everyone deserves to be treated with respect. Especially if they are being sheltered and fed by that someone else. I don't care if the reason is because they are "mentally ill" or just plain mean. (The difference between the two is very hard to distinguish.) Especially, but, not exclusively, true if they have refused to get help, then it is on them. Child or not!

Actually I can't gang up on you. There is the line of no return. It hurts but there is that line of survival that we all must listen to and the abuse must end. Sad it is but yes we must listen to that survival instinct. No ganging up from me.

At least the kid will never go to a public school. Charlotte....barf. Old fashion name.

I just can't get Charlotte's Web out of my thoughts. Better than living a life of being Compared to Princess Diana. I was a big fan of Diana and her woes being in that family, no easy measure but a newborn should not have to carry such, so an addition name just a nice touch, though I wish the Diana came before Queen Elizabeth, that old broad caused enough pain through her family manipulation that she continues to inflict. When she leaves her powers behind that family might finally settle back down.

Shoot my daughter picked this for our new restaurant in Oct. I can't plan what I'm doing tomorrow, let alone month's in advance. Oh well, I always go along with the flow, cause I'm not a planner, and glad she is. I know I gave birth to her, but I can't figure out how any two people can be so different.

My DD are joined at the hip, we have always been that way. Love her. My DS and I are close but we have a different relationship, guys are different and I respect that. He is my rock when I need him or he needs me. A different style but great despite the differences.

Agree, Can you imagine the pressure of bearing the name Diana?
I bet the media will be 24/7 stalking the poor girl and comparing to her on every single thing she would do .. with Diana.

I have an old fashioned name, been in my family for years. My great grandmother on my mother's side said Betty should never disappear from the family tree. So, I have that name.....but it is disappearing , and that's fine with me....

Oy. My FIL was Albert, his oldest son was named Albert (so wrong for the era) because my MIL said it demonstrated her love for her huband. Bluck. MIL was so wounded when her son, Albert had a son and name him something other than Albert. Some things come to an end for good reason.

For us it just me, my son, and my daughter. I share interests with each of my kids. I watch sports with my son and I watch things with my daughter that we both like. From there, it stems out into all of just making each other laugh and we have fun. We really like spending time with each other but I worry that I won't get along with their spouses.
I get along really well with my daughter's boyfriend but I don't know if they will stay together and get married and have kids. It's too early for that.
I really admire the way @JenniferS gets along with her sisters in law. I want to have a smooth ride with my in laws.

Don't you think Kate is already living that?
Same name or no, living in this TMZ generation will be hard on the newest Royals.

I think Kate takes it in a different direction than Diana did. Diana always tried to please and conform. Kate and her hubby seem to be aware of the the pressures that Diana had between the twit of husband Elizabeth raised and Elizabeth's interference in their marriage. Kate and hubby seem to ignore Elizabeth and God Bless them for that.

Oh dear.

My Grandpa was named Albert M***. He passed away while my mom was expecting Bro #3.
My mom named him James Albert M*** S.
Jamie named his son Dylan Albert M*** S.
Dylan has already committed to naming his son Whatever Albert M*** S.

Some things continue for a good reason. :)

P.S. The only reason Jamie does not have Albert as his FIRST name is because my parents were new Christians at the time he was born, and they felt compelled to name their sons after Apostles. Hence my brothers, Mark and James. :joyfull:
