I have a stupid people story...

Sales decided to complain to a new director that we weren't addressing our cases in a timely manner. My boss was like "Yeah right" but looked into it anyway. He found that 85% of our cases we're closed within a day, and then of the cases that weren't closed within a day, there was something that sales did wrong, like something expired or there was something else we had to research. And then they gave us specific cases that they said we delayed, and every single one of them they did something wrong.

My boss brought it to the director, who he described as "intense" (I think there's a more appropriate word for her) and said we weren't doing anything wrong and it wasn't the first time that sales had cried wolf to try to explain their low numbers. I just heard that a salesperson who we've had constant problems with got terminated, so I told him it was probably her who brought the complaints because her team wasn't meeting their numbers.
Seems the boss of the sales division is inept and trying to pin everything to third parties.. :/
With that toxicity.. I'm surprised she or he is still working there.

I think that the person who did try to pin this on us did get fired. I heard she was fired (I have a coworker who calls me with other stuff and then gives me dirt) and she always tried to make it seem like we weren't doing our jobs. We had to change a standard operating procedure because her team didn't believe me on something. Every other sales team was fine with it, but not her. She'd been here for a decade when she got fired; she just wasn't making her numbers.

We have published records of who's doing well within the company and making the top levels...she was never listed. It usually shuffles.

Wow, almost looked like she had a beef with you guys.. until it was clear she was trying to hide her own mess.

They were definitely trying to hide their own mess. They would call us to adjust pricing on a quote and be like "Help, the customer need this today..." And then they would get mad at us when we said they didn't have everything they needed. And then it would turn out the customer had been already waiting a week for their quote and was mad at them, and we're like, well, that is not our fault...

Dd has a problem like that at work. A lady who’s been there forever keeps trying to tell everyone it’s not her problem it’s everyone else’s when clearly it is her.

It made me feel better at least when I talked to my coworker who's on a different team. He's had problems with that particular team as well. So it wasn't just us; apparently they were difficult to work with and nothing was ever their fault.

I have 6 things to look forward to in the fall. They are Midwest Gaming Classic, Mom's Birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas decorating, helping mom with Christmas cookies and my younger brother's birthday.

Midwest Gaming Classic from November 5th to November 7th. Mom's birthday is in November. First day of Winter this year is December 21st and is why I mentioned Christmas cookies and my younger brother's birthday as late fall. My younger brother's birthday to me though starts during Midwest Gaming Classic since I will be giving him money as an early birthday gift. That money will be handy for the Midwest Gaming Classic.
