Speaking of Libra: on my Disney astrological cups, Mickey is a Libra. Here is the sign description. Please ignore my dirty counter I will clean it tomorrow.
@JenniferS how do you do the whole milk in bags thing? I never could get over that. It wasn't so much that it was in a bag (had bag milk in school that you had to stab a straw in) but that bags don't have lids. Sure, I could clip the bag but I was still always scared that the milk wouldn't keep fresh if I didn't drink it really fast. Luckily there was a Mac's across the street from my dorm with jug milk.
Oh Eric, you seem to have forgotten, my boys go through a minimum of 4-6 individual bags/day - essentially 1 1/2 - 2 gallons. Milk NEVER goes bad here.@JenniferS how do you do the whole milk in bags thing? I never could get over that. Do the 10 park days because 1 more day costs very little then swim at the condo. You could also go one day to the waters parks but the price of admission is comparable to the water park and fun option so might as well get that option if you really want to do the water parks.
That's funny that you all seem to call them "roys". Up here, they were always "cords".Ha! Yes, you'd be the "talk" of the school if they made that noise when you walked down the hallways!Speaking of "roys" the only roys I don't like are the wide-wale ones; I never got into those. But I have always loved the thin-waled ones. They're warm and so comfy for fall and winter. I have a pair in my closet, but I used to have more of them years ago.
Please take a minute, or maybe five, to read my introduction, would like to share what it was like to grow up in rural Indiana, from 1948 onward, I don't want history lost. thanks so much for the welcome, I hope with this post , about my life , can help you connect with your much older relatives.

The dad from My Big Fat Greek Wedding would have bought that book.
What I meant was I enjoyed your posting on other threads as well. I didn't mean I don't like your posts here. I read what I posted and I was like, "What!!!" I hope I didn't hurt your feelings it was just bad sentence composition.

What I hate is the cutlery drawer full of snipped bag corners. Two snips per bag, 6 bags per day ... you do the math!
It was in the introduction at the beginning, of the chit chat room, I pulled it off, as my husband said I gave to much information, he is not trusting of blog sights. Keeping peace in the family, and all that.Where is it or link please.![]()
I was a teen during the era of penny loafers, Ivy league pegged pants and bleeding madras shirts. Bell Bottoms thankfully came out when I was in the service. By the time I got out, the fad was starting to fade, but, I did own a few pair of flares. I liked those much better then bell bottoms. We still had wide collared shirts and used to tie our ties straight down, no regular knot. It was actually tied the same way, but instead of tucking the top layer of the tie through the knot, you just let it drop straight down so that it looked more like an ascot then a tie. I swear give me back almost every decade except the 1970's. Between that and Disco, I hate to even think back to it.
Your really going to enjoy living in whatever place you acquire in Florida. Down here in the states we have these contraptions called garbage cans (dust bins are banned). That would be a good place to put all those pesky useless snipped bag corners. They're of no value down here, no need to horde them. I guess it could be that you use them as legal tender up there in the great white north.Oh Eric, you seem to have forgotten, my boys go through a minimum of 4-6 individual bags/day - essentially 1 1/2 - 2 gallons. Oh boy. If only Costco existed at that time.
Nice too know you are a forgiving bunch, I tend to open my mouth, as writing too much, my daughter says I don't have a censoring gene, and don't think before I say something. But, but . . . you didn't get to read all the replies in this thread. Plus, I just got home from work about 45 minutes ago and was just now catching up on everyone's responses to your comments; and I also added my own, (prior to reading your post above). Please reconsider your decision.
Has anyone seen the Mickey Mouse duct, I got some at home depot and put it on my luggage, so it's easily spotted.![]()

I love hearing there is a daily scenic picture.Another very nice scene. Do you know that I always look forward to your daily scenic picture? When you were away on your cruise, I missed them!!![]()
Thanks for the info.Thank you. I'll bet rural Indiana was a fascinating place. Will look forward in the future, to reading a bit about some of your remembrances. (With regard to your comment about much older relatives, at least in my family, most have passed away.) The rest of us are all around the mid-life years.
