The Chit Chat Chit Chat Thread

I was on the phone for almost 2 hours this morning with Verizon about an upgraded phone for my oldest. Placed the order on Sunday and since I never received a shipping text called them. First I was stuck with the auto chat system, and when that amounted to nothing I switched to a human. Let me say that it is very difficult to actually speak with a person. It seems like more and more these companies are just using AI and it stinks. In any case I found out they screwed up the order and I had to do a new one. I finally spoke to someone who actually spoke good English and was able to buy and pick up the phone at our local store. My goodness, seriously 2 hours!!!!

Their customer service is horrible -- we've also experienced it, first hand.

It screwed up my whole morning. The live chat feature stinks because they stick you with an automated bot who supposedly is so intelligent it can figure everything out so actual human interaction is unnecessary. That does not work at all! Then the supposed human who came into the text chat was just as unhelpful as the bot so I asked for a phone number to speak to someone. When I called it wanted to send me back to the live text chat with the AI again.:mad: Finally I yelled into the phone, not kidding, "operator". That was when I got to speak to someone.

I hate this SO incredibly much. There are so many systems that when you say operator now they respond with "okay. Let me ask a few questions to get you to the right agent" and it just keeps going round and round

Must be rather bittersweet, having just buried her husband...not sure I'd feel like celebrating, even though 95 is quite the milestone! Did she say anything about abdicating? I read somewhere that there was speculation for the past couple of years that she would step down on her 95th and hand the reins to Charles. Then when Prince Philip died, that seemed even more likely. But I haven't been paying attention to the news today.

I think she will rule until she passes or physically can't rule.

Ugh, those chatbots are useless!! They can't actually tell you anything other than info you can already find on their website usually. Like, if you have your tracking number, it can tell you the last place it was traced. They can tell you the date you ordered it, or when the estimated arrival is, but if it's lost, it can't help you. Then you have to try and find a way to talk to an actual human and then sit on hold forever until that human can pick up. I get that most people are just too lazy to read the website, so they ask questions that are just basic info, but for the people who actually have an issue, those things just don't work!! Glad you got it all worked out though!

Hello everyone!
I need guidance!
Tonight I am wishing to start the FAFSA because my daughter's college is already billing us for Fall 2021 semester and they did not apply her scholarships because we did not file her FAFSA for year 2 yet.
As a family returning to the FAFSA for an incoming sophomore, can we just log into the FAFSA website with our 19 year old daughter's FAFSA login credentials?

This is unfortunately becoming a trend. Companies demand to cut costs even more even when theres nothing else to cut. They do not care the service degradation as long as its lower than specified threshold that can affect their finances.

When it was our rookie time doing FAFSA before her freshman year I the dad created a user name and password AND my daughter created a user name and password. Both are not needed now...correct?
Just my daughter's credentials?
One login....one FAFSA submission.
Correct?
