The Chit Chat Chit Chat Thread

I really hope now that a year has passed that via Napoli has gotten their act back together. I love that place and was so disappointed with it last spring and have seen too many make similar comments. They really needed new management as they knew how to deliver a good product and the facility is excellent.
Yep, I said the same thing in November. Hubby thought it was okay, as it was his first time. Given that it was my third trip, I was quite disappointed in the decline of quality - service especially. The food was still quite good but the awful mess allowed to sit on nearby tables for more than an hour really killed the atmosphere.

It didn't even make our short list for this trip.
(Although now that we're all on the DDP and have extra ressies to fill, I may book the kids there on our Yachtsman night.)

Since you want to go on the attack (and by God there are so many things I have to stifle) let me tell you one thing. I married a black man. I have a beautiful mixed child. Her father was born in one of the poorest sections of East Cleveland. As much as I see all the scenes of that struggling neighborhood in Baltimore it reminds me of where he was from. One of the first times I went to visit his parents the cops chased someone through their backyard while we sat in lawnchairs in the garage. It scared the sh** out of me but didn't phase the future in-laws. I saw a street fight two blocks from their house where the cops just drove by instead of breaking it up. Two sides to every coin. I thank God my ex and his siblings were able to go to college and get their parents out of there and into a better neighborhood and a better life.

There are good cops/bad cops EVERYWHERE. I have friends and family who are cops. I have friends and family who don't trust cops. Such is life. So before you think you can preach the Gospel to me, my comments aren't "from a point of view". I have sympathy to both sides and refuse to form an opinion without all the facts and follow up on those facts. Now with that CONGRATULATIONS! You are the first person I have ever put on ignore.
wow... oh well, your life, your choices.
Also, I didnt know anything about your family in that sense.

Sorry if you felt I insulted you.

Woof! I haven't worn bell-bottoms SINCE the 70's. ;)
I always remember the sound of the legs flappin' against each other as people walked. :)
My son doesn't believe this, but I remember a time when there were no girls and boys jeans. We all wore the same Levi's and GWG's. Fit my brothers just fine. Me, not so much after grade five.

Thankfully, Brooke decided nothing was going to come between her and her Calvins, and chick jeans (literally Chic jeans :hilarious:) started to flood the market.

Well, Since I have riled many people with my point of view. I am going to apologize and go my way.
I suppose this is the part where I am definitively not welcome here.

Thank you all for all the fun and comments and I hope you all have a nice life in the future.

I might be posting on the forum, but just not here.

I think it has less to do with your points of view (as we all have them and should be welcome) but more about the way you present those views from time to time. Just my perception though.
