That’s what I suspected.
In this day and age, I’m sure they make a lot more profit by ditchin’ the brick and mortar, and focusin’ more online.
Sad though, as I can remember more than one little kiddo runnin’ into the Store, when I was a CM there, and shoutin’ “Disney World...!!!!!!! :joyfull:“. :(
When we couldn’t go to Disney going to the Disney Store was like the next best thing. It was one of those things that made my soul happy. Good memories.

More importantly, paying down the debt from growing the business. Woke up to the first time I’ve ever seen my credit score go over 800!

By last summer, I had a lot of things maxed out and was hovering around an embarrassing 660-ish.

Ah, redemption!
That is soooo awesome Tony! So thrilled for you. Cue the Mary Tyler Moore theme- “You’re gonna make it after all!”

So the last couple of days were busy. Youngest had a cheer competition Saturday. Still no spectators, but the weather was warm, so us parents waited outside the venue and chit chatted. She is still on two teams. The one team came out sad. They had been doing well, but had a deduction cause one girl stepped off the mat in tumbling. The other team came out jumping for joy. This was awesome cause they had been plagued with mistakes. They found out that they received a bid (invite), to compete at Disney in May last night. Youngest started bawling right away. Like I never saw her react like that. She is a very calm and collected little kid. Her other team was already going. So now both her teams are competing. She is sooooo happy. They have practice tonight so I wonder if the coaches will have something special for them.

Hopefully Dunkin will copy them....uh...doubt it.
We no longer have Krispy Kreme in my county. The nearest Krispy Kreme is an hour away.
There's only one in all of the centralized Raleigh area that is Raleigh, Cary, Morrisville and I think Durham (not sure about that last one). They truck their donuts to local grocery stores. In the 10 years I have lived here I have had a total of 3 Krispy Kreme donuts. There are dozens of Dunkin Donut stores and I have had zero of those. The weird thing is I used to love donuts, especially chocolate frosted, but I no longer crave them at all. Frankly, I don't need them, so I'm not going to fight that lack of desire.

The like is for being productive. Have you tried chamomile tea or a white noise machine? I'd try the tea first as long as it isn't an allergy trigger
Oh, I’ve tried everything, and I even pulled out the “big guns” eventually: a whole xanax lol.

It was just one of those nights - and I know why:

Frickin Chinese food! I don’t know what they put in that stuff, but it’s like speed. When you sit there stuffing your face for hours leisurely grazing on broccoli with garlic sauce, tofu, and brown rice (and a tiny piece of Brian’s chicken just to taste) while watching 5 episodes of Wandavision...that’s supposed to fill you up and knock you out. But noooooo.

Meh. It’s my day off, I got 4 hours rather than my typical 5-6, and my BJ’s order is ready for pick up.

Oh and if you are going to Disney in May, warning, the first 3 weeks of May will be filled with cheerleaders. Three weeks of competitions in a row. We personally decided on not going into the parks, but others will.
Thank you for that practical warning!

I’m liable to go at any moment. 😆

Either that, or keep saving some more points so that by the time they start cruises again, it will be free lol.

I totally get what you are saying.
Personally in the recent past I would enjoy eating a donut when it was provided during a morning meeting here at my school.
That hasn't taken place in 12 months thanks to stupid Covid.
These days I wouldn't make a separate trip to stop at a Dunkin just to get a donut, but if my wife wanted to go there to get a special coffee beverage, I'd gladly order a Boston Kreme Donut! :hungry:

It could have been the salt or sugar keeping you more awake than usual

At this very moment, and for the last 20 minutes they are doing the annual fire alarm testing. Each room in my apartment has a LOUD alarm that would wake the dead, plus a strobe flash every second. Covid prevented the test last year, but they are being pretty detailed this year. It doesn't bode well for those of us that already have Tinnitus. Thankfully, I remembered my earbuds and am listening to music with accompanied alarm. I'll probably be deaf by this afternoon. 👂🦻🤯 I was just about to jump in the shower but in that confined room I would probably go more insane then I already am. #dirtyforthesakeofsafety

UPDATE: Either it finally stopped or I have indeed gone deaf. I better turn on the TV to check out which one it is. Hooray... it has stopped and I can still still hear! I was stopped at 10:04

UPDATED UPDATE: It started up again about 10:30. This time I just left and went to the mall. There must be a better way to test this stuff. I was not exaggerating about the volume of the alarm. No one would ever sleep through it if it was in the middle of the night. I asked why it was on for so long. The system has to be on for the entire building while they go apartment to apartment, room to room and check that each one was working. I estimate that this building has four floors with an average of 30 apts. per floor. It must have been hell for the people with pets. I cannot imagine how some of them would have reacted. It hurt my ears I can only guess what some innocent animal might be experiencing. And the strobe.. For the actual deaf, I guess. But, aren't strobes known to trigger seizures? The following is a picture of the building. In the picture you can see a covered entrance toward the back of the picture. That covered spot is half way and the building has a central hallway on each floor with apartments on both sides. That's a lot of apartments and rooms to check.
