Never heard of that, but I looked it up and that's a pretty good option for most people, but I'm betting you have to provide your own carseats if you need them, and that's a pain to travel with them when you aren't using them. I remember when we flew in and out of Dusseldorf and you weren't allowed to take the luggage carts outside of the airport, so we had to walk with all our luggage, 2 small children and their strollers and their car seats from the longterm parking lot about a kilometer to the airport entrance. We couldn't make it in one trip. We had to each take our own suitcase and a kid plus a stroller, then my husband had to go back and get the car seats and carryons while I stayed with the kids.

In 2019 at MCO we weren't allowed to take the luggage cart beyond a certain point. We had to pay to send the luggage up from that point and then get another cart there, OR carry all the luggage ourselves through the airport...we didn't have enough arms, and we didn't even have carseats then. Traveling with littles is rather difficult, I know you know...ME made at least that much a bit easier. One less thing to juggle.

We didn’t take our first family trip to WDW until our youngest was about 2 months shy of 7 years old, so we didn’t need car seats or strollers.
When our 3 kiddos were younger (again, only about 3 years and 2 months apart in age) we made a lot of visits to Sea World San Antonio, the San Antonio Zoo, etc. We had a larger stroller that could fit 2 and always had an umbrella stroller.
When Megan, Daniel, Emmy, and I did our fly in in the mornin’, fly out in the evenin’, one day WDW MK “Worldwind” trip on Oct. 29th of ‘19, they had a stroller/car seat combo thing. With JetBlue, you left your stroller at the end of the jetway, just before you boarded the plane, and they stored it. At the end of our flights, it was waiting in the same place for us to claim.
We did Lyft or Uber (can’t remember which 🤔) to and from the airport, and you just simply detached the car seat from the stroller chassis...such a cool thing...!!! :)

Snow and ice on the way here today. Not enough probably for a snow day at work, but I don’t know if we would get those anymore our district hasn’t told us that detail yet. Have a good day everyone!

Hope it was just some fluffy snow...!!! 🤗;):)
The local school districts here all had a snow day this past Monday ‘cause of our 4.5-ish inches of snow on Sunday.
However, I went in at 10a, DWifey at 11a, and DS is off on Monday’s. Bummer that it didn’t show up for us a day later...!!!!! :hilarious:

Thats nice that the school kids in your area got a snow day, I’m sure that is unusual for them and a nice treat. Our snow started later than expected and might not get as much either. We will having some shoveling to do in the morning though.

Everyone who has a phone gets those stupid calls. It's nationwide. and has been going on for many months now. I just ignore them.

Yep, as posted before, unrecognizable number, “unknown caller”, and “spam risk”, I just don’t answer.
Since Monday I’ve had exactly 4 “unknown caller”, 3 of which were our pharmacy, and no “spam risk”.
It just really doesn’t annoy me, as it’s just so easy to blow off.

Vaccine update Part 1 to those curious about getting it.

Don't get started on the logistics of the shot. The biggest cluster**** ever.

Anyway, shot went well. I got mine in a hospital. Signed a form saying you agree to get the vaccine and yada, ya, ya, only waited like 2 minutes before they called me in. You'll probably have a line when it's availible to the masses. After I got it, waited 15 minutes (to probably see if there is side effects at first) til I receive my next appointment in a month. Moderna.

Arm didn't start to get sore until 4 hours later. And still sore right now.

Everyone has there own fears and anxieties , yours happens to be driving. I had a friend once who out of the blue developed a fear of driving on the interstate highway system. Why? Not because of high speed traffic, but fear that one of the long bridges would fall as she drove over it. She was in her 40's when that developed and it took her an easy five years of driving more and more extra miles on far less safe two lane highways to avoid interstates before she finally got tired of being a slave to her emotions and forced herself to use the highways again. It took a little while but she did eventually figure out how much easier life was without that fear and overcame it.

I'm not saying you should overcome it or even that you should try. I just saying that sometimes these things can be overcome and a whole new world opens up to those that were able to make it happen. When you think about it the fear of flying is the same type of anxiety. I've had many fears in my lifetime, flying does cause me a bit of angst due to having a WWII airplane mechanic for a father. One who couldn't be forced on a plane at gunpoint, because he "knew what could go wrong with them". However, I have flown all over the globe and even though boarding I feel anxious, once airborne I don't even think about it again, I just enjoy the adventure. I was lucky that my first flight was a nighttime one that approached Portugal just at sunrise. We were over a mass of clouds and every one was snow white and the rising sun caused the tops of them to have this beautiful golden border. I had never seen anything so fantastic in my life and haven't been lucky enough in the past 50+ years to time it just right to see that again. Am I a better person for having seen that? Probably not, but it is a memory that is still vivid in my mind a half a century later. If I hadn't decided to face the fear, that is a memory I never would have had.
Well, I'd like to think that by getting my license here, I'm at least facing my fears if not overcoming them. But I was driving at 17, and drove all the way through college and still never LIKED it. I can do it, it's just not something that I enjoy. And the lessons make me feel ill and I think it's partially because of the road test looming over me. It's so much harder here than it is in the US, and I'm just worried I'll fail. But logically, I know that when I actually have my license, no one will be sitting next to me all the time telling me that I should have switched lanes sooner, or should have just taken my foot off the gas rather than braking. I'll be able to do everything the way I feel comfortable doing it without feeling judged. And I won't have to do specific maneuvers. If I want to use a 3 point turn in the entrance to a parking lot instead of using it to do a wide U-turn, no one is going to tell me that wasn't the right maneuver. If there are 5 open spots in the parking area, I can just pull into whichever one works for me without someone telling me I SHOULD have chosen this particular one because bla bla bla.
