A Hollywood conspiracy! Her publicist said she died and now she's alive!
Her publicist only said it because her husband called and said she died. That's what's odd to me. If my husband were near death, I wouldn't want to leave his bedside. I'd want to be by his side, holding his hand until he was gone. And I know, not everyone is the same, but isn't it odd to go to the hospital, leave before she dies, and then call her publicist and say she's dead anyway? Even if you didn't expect her to live long, why say she's dead if she isn't?

Many hospitals have banned visitors even spouses.

Yes!!!!!!!!!! Works a little better than my oven set on convection using racks. My advice get one size bigger than you think you'll need(see my comment about the oven set on convection) Mine is older and not sure if they even make it any more but I'm hearing good things about the Instant Pot one. Amazon.com: Instant Vortex Plus Air Fryer Oven 7 in 1 with Rotisserie, 10 Qt, EvenCrisp Technology: Kitchen & Dining View attachment 522075 It looks easy to use with a door like oven

@93boomer , also check dimensions of the fryer (no matter what brand you buy), as some of them are rather large. (Might be an issue if you had a small kitchen, for example. Otherwise, no biggie.) Also, some of them (again, various brands) weigh a lot, too. So just a heads up, only about dimensions and weight.

No matter which brand or size you get, I think you'll really like it. And as ajrwdwgirl mentioned, you only need a very small amount of oil for some recipes (and none for some others) -- the air fryer is a healthier method of frying.

Due to Covid concerns within the hospital, the husband was not allowed to be with her. (It was not that her diagnosis had anything to do with Covid, but the the visitor protocols dictated no visitors, at all.)

I learned the hard way when my skin actually turned an orange color. I had a juicer and I used to grind several carrots a day as my energy juice every morning. I did not realize too much beta carotene will actually turn your skin orange.

Holy cow! I never heard such a thing. Amazing what I learn here every day! :joyfull:

Well he said he was there, so obviously he wasn't banned. I don't know what the rules are, but it just seems odd to go out of your way to call the publicist to say she died before you knew she had. I can see calling to check in, let the publicist know it doesn't look good, you don't expect it to be much longer, but to say she actually died is just....it doesn't make sense. And I would bet now his phone is ringing off the hook to get a statement because it's a big story and there will be reporters outside the hospital waiting to find out what happened...it just turns it into a huge dramatic thing. It's kind of sad.

Thanks! I did see that some are massive. I only want a small one. Plus, I won’t use it all the time so will store it downstairs when I don’t use it.
That’s what I am excited about is the frying without oil. I have a few things that taste better fried than baked. Definitely want one.

I know that is true, but I have yet to understand why. Especially in a terminal situation. He was just with her and hasn't had anywhere near the outside exposure that the staff in the hospital has every single day. I call that a cruel overextension of a well meaning thing. I will do whatever is needed to curb the virus, but to separate a very ill person from their family is just not the thing that should be done. Random visitors OK, Husband, Wife or children... no way should they be deprived of final moments together. The small risk is more than worthwhile, especially to the dying person. No wonder so many are militant about not using a mask. We always tend to overdo.

I have a feeling you'll use it more than you think. I thought the same way about my first pressure cooker and now have 2 BIG ones. Mid range size for normal families that have company or like leftovers
