The walk ways from the Swan to Epcot and to Hollywood Studios is well lit. I've felt safe walking it as a woman alone at night. The walk is actually nice.
There's a portion now since they built the gondolas and redid it that is a bit poorly lit. Not that we think anything would happen, but last trip when we were going back and the gondolas were closed, we asked for a bus. A CM put us right on one.

Those posts of CastMembers who have been working there for more than 30 years and just letting them go... is both sad and maddening.
I find the layoffs Sad. Not
Only them but everyone who has experienced this from airlines to
The little camera Shops. We have 27 states with surges of the virus happening currently a few exceeding even Florida. Illinois here on the lowest end of surge. Wisconsin is worst.

Our President and his wife are now quarantining. They shared a helicopter and other situations (no masks) with a high level staff member who is experiencing symptoms and tested positive.

I can’t be mad at Disney. I reserve that anger for specific others. They were ahead of the pandemic when they safeguarded the CPs and subsequently closed. They saw what was happening at parks overseas that we didn’t as everyday citizens. They paid most CMs for a month. They furloughed a good chunk to keep health insurance. It has been almost 7 months. With surges now Disney likely see no end sight for these cast members returning. Sad but realistic.

Speaking of weird things. I just found that I got charged twice and have 2 orders of Disney tickets identical to each other, just the order number and will call as well.

I have emailed the company I used to purchase the tickets to cancel the first set as I have activated the second set already.
The first set is untouched.
My advice from my last activation at Will Call is go to any other park than the MK to Will Call. Me
Personally have had best luck at the studios.

I knew you were contemplating going. I missed the rest, when and what resort?

Marriott Flamingo Crossing has a $5 shuttle Round trip to TTC. Free breakfast but nothing else around these twin resorts. The have one restaurant/bar but has a
Full sized kitchen and
A tiny store downstairs. I spent a month there. Couch, full table large bathroom and full closet Very new. It is on Disney property so perks

Hilton Bonnet Creek has a shuttle with more times. An awesome resort with the best lazy river and hot tubs. 24 hour grab and go with great selection and a
Couple Of restaurants. It is 5 minutes from Disney Springs.

Both of these have some awesome prices on Priceline. Both on Disney Property.

I’ve also stayed at Hilton Disney Springs. A nice, clean hotel. 24 hour grab go and a direct ramp to Disney Springs over the roads. It enters at Bippity Boppity. Many places
To eat plus springs. Some of the rooms could use a refurbishment however when park hours are short the vicinity to Disney Springs is Awesome They are clean and maintained just oldish. I found there bus service more. Timely than most on property buses.

Any questions just ask

First day will be AKL. I love that resort. So I will most likely get the Will Call tickets there.
The tickets are already linked to my Disney account.
Waiting until tomorrow to activate the Dolphin/Swan reservation as the site said.

I stayed at SD Twice in the last year. It is my favorite non Disney resort within the parks. In September I was holding 2 weeks there. We cancelled because of the pandemic.

While I usually stay at the Swan, absolutely lovely and you are allowed to utilize Dolphins amenities. There are two restaurants at Dolphin that are bargains with great food. Fuel. And a more hidden cafeteria that is ground level which name escapes me. A pleasant dining area with reasonable prices. Snacks or full meals. Swan just opened a new grab and go that is very nice.

As a side note, I'm always getting trip notices from AAA Travel. Noticed this morning that they're offering UNI for $119 a night (starting price), plus 3 parks--4-day tickets, and early entries to Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Volcano Bay, (plus a few more lesser valued items in the package).

I'm only mentioning the above to show that when a company really wants to bring in the people, they somehow manage to lower the rates and offer some good deals!!

So.. Is there a list of all the closures at WDW?
I know those 28,000 staff let go will affect many things. One that hit me hard was the Disney Transportation from the airport.
I'm worried that at this rate the places I love much (like restaurant) might have to be closed.
Any backpack travelers or some with tight budgets can spend $2 on transportation from Orlando airport to WDW. It however takes about 2 hours approx to get to WDW hotel and theme parks areas. At baggage claim take the Lynx bus to downtown Orlando and connect to WDW. There are a number of stops along the way. I've never done it but it's been done.
