Slow and steady, but definately improving. Today I get to take the "wound" covering off and find out how badly they ruined what was once my perfect chest.
I will try and overlook that fact that "my perfect chest" took a walk a number of years ago.

O.k. Here you go. I once heard a man say, "Scars are manly." :hilarious: So, wear it as a badge of honor!! :joyfull:

20 years will make me 92 years old. I doubt I will be able to do this because there is a good chance that I would be drooling on my keyboard and shorting it out.
92 is only a few years older than when my grandfather was finally convinced to try sleigh riding down a hill for the first time in his life. (his conclusion was it was too cold to ever do that again) I'm sure you'll be fine:joyfull:

Waiting on word to decide whether to book a room for the next 2/3 days. Surprisingly, what we want is available and still discounted at WDW. But I can't imagine it will last long, so I am stressing a bit!

Today, the hospital is definitely kicking Brian's Dad out. They tried last week, we appealed, they denied. We appealed again, they said fine, but he still has to get out in the meantime. With C.Diff, no less (which suddenly, miraculously cleared up?)

The brothers had been looking for an off site rehab facility. Then there may be an arrangement where the family pays Brian to take the night shift at the house, and have a nurse during the day. Brian can continue nursing school through that. (He got A's on both of his tests yesterday - my little nerd nurse!)

The wife knows the owner of a place nearby and arranged to have a bed ready for him. Of course, this keeps her having too much control, and her preferred doctor as well. (We all don't like this doctor.) We found paperwork that designated the oldest brother as the medical surrogate, so technically, he makes all the decisions.

Knowing Brian may be out of the house again, and we both have a lot on our plates through the end of the year, and haven't been "away" since WDW last September, we could really use a head-clearing bubble break. The Keys are an option. WDW is currently an option. We really want to bring the dog, so the cabins are perfect - away from people, something new for us, and I think the dog will feel like it's more of a "house" and would be more OK with us going out for dinner vs. being in a standard hotel room.

I really want to book this!! The brothers were just asking if Brian could go visit Dad in the new place - we don't even know if visitors are allowed - but if he could visit today/tonight...I guess we should not plan anything for tomorrow. I'd love to book Wednesday/Thursday!!
Sorry babbling LOL. I'm at my limits.
It is always good to know what your limit is, otherwise, you hit the wall, and then you aren't good for anybody. It sounds like you are the glue holding a lot together, including B, who is holding a lot together. The Cabins sound really nice. Hope you guys can make it happen.

OK, now I understand the $299/night. You have to pay extra for Kylie.
Nope. $299 + Kylie. Room rates have been generally high IMO, I’ve been watching for months.

They announced new Covid19 restrictions here again last night. We're going back to no more than 3 visitors at your home, work from home unless you can't (M is bringing his stuff home tonight to work from home again), no more than 4 people together from different households, masks highly advised, no more than 30 people in a building, 40 outside unless they are at an amusement park or museum or something, no viewers for sporting events-even ameteur/childrens...parents can't even watch their kids' games. No new rules for schools though, which is kind of frustrating to me. Kids under 18 aren't required to distance from each other, and the school is doing bare minimum, and it's illogical. Like...at the end of the school year, each class was assigned a classroom and the teachers moved from class to class rather than the students moving. It kept them isolated from other groups. But this year, they went back to the students moving, which means all 1500 kids are in the hallways in between classes and not required to distance. But they aren't allowed to use their lockers, because then they are lingering in the hallways and have to be in close proximity....so they have to carry all their books around with them the whole day so they don't have to spend 30 seconds at their locker to switch books, when if they stayed in one classroom, it would solve that issue without them having to schlep a heavy backpack the whole day. But there were no restrictions for schools mentioned last night. They also didn't mention things like choirs, or driving lessons, etc.
Yesterday, I had to let the high school know if DD would be doing hybrid/in person at school. They are aiming for 10/26. I thought she would jump all over it, because she really hates eLearning. She said she isn't going back until there is a vaccine, or until high school kids stop being stupid. She is hearing from friends at other schools that classrooms are ok, but the hallway is a free for all. I think it's very telling that she feels safer working at DQ.

@GYKid75 @MinnieM123 and @93boomer if you are wanting or lacking snow I suspect I will have plenty this winter. We've been known to have some in mid-late October (hopefully not this year though) here is northern Wisconsin.
Same here. After last year's Halloween Blizzard, and the Farmers Almanac predictions, I should be in great shape by Spring. Or, if I find really big fans, I can blow it over to @MinnieM123 and @GYKid75 . Really big fans.

The GFO loss was bad, but Yeehaw Bob, as well? I really hope they bring back the live music when this turns around. I will have to make sure to catch Bob's next FB live show, and put some money in his tip jar.

Ohh I like that! How is Kylie liking it?
It's really perfect for her, very outdoorsy, can go out on the deck, can even leave that door open. This is awesome.

Now - if you're used to the Grand Floridian, it might not seem as nice for the price. But it's really nice inside for a "cabin!" There is no roughing it. It's a little house, all your own, no walking down a hallway with other guests, etc.

There was no electricity until about 5 minutes after we entered the unit - I presume that's by design. We bypassed the front desk (although we're supposed to go at some point.)

I would feel out of place at GF. It's nice but not for us there.:joyfull: We prefer POFQ to GF. That cabin is going on my future possibilities list. Hope you all have a great get-away kids!! ;):)

We're too cheap to stay "onsite" but do enjoy the walk to GF it's not our cup of tea but I don't think we'd miss a chance to stop by for a drink if the orchestra was still there
