That's a common complaint that the rooms are never available until 4 or even later. We pay a lot of money for these rooms -- they should have them ready by 2 PM at the latest, for what they charge people.

I hope the maintenance issues are fixed.

What's up on the schedule for today? I think you should start with Mickey waffles. :hungry:
Thank honey!❤️ Yes it did. Finally... after 10 pm. It was a long night!🤣
We are hoping for a better day today.😊 Dread the crowd cause Epcot was pretty bad yesterday afternoon. More people than we had thought. Most were wearing masks, CMs had to remind people to pull them up, more problems with physical distancing than anything.
Today is HS. It opens at 10.
Breakfast is cereal and bananas from home until we run out then I will get Mickey waffles😉

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg dead at 87

I am so sad, I just read that. What a life. What an intelligent woman and such a guiding light for the future of women. She will be sorely missed. So proud of both Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton for appointing the very best and for also believing in females views pertaining to the constitution and laws.
It is rare. Godspeed.
I know, I'm so sad, too! My husband told me this morning and I literally shouted "NO!!!!" I couldn't believe it. She was such a great role model for girls, and so strong an advocate for equality. She will be missed terribly. What an icon. May she rest in peace!!

I met the late Roy Scheider when he was filming the TV series Seaquest DSV in Orlando in a store where I was shopping in. He was a very unassuming guy.

Pics or it didn’t happen...!!! ;)
Seriously, he always seemed like a dude you could just hang out with and have a few beers.
I met Craig T. Nelson here in Austin at a golf tournament back in ‘86...unfortunately, we didn’t hang out and have some beers, but, we had all had beers by that point...!!!!! :hilarious:

I've heard that same type of complaint before by others. A company, foreman, whatever, starts the job and then is MIA until people hunt them down, or threaten legal action. I'll never understand some in the building trades, and how they get away with this. Sorry your parents' home is not finished yet, and praying it will be by Thanksgiving.

Yep, we gave them the benefit of the doubt, and their people higher up are now on it...what company wants they’re reputation to be dog stuff these days, and we were prepared to stick in their ears, and they knew it...!!!!!
As my pop and I discussed, if we ever did that at our jobs, they’d a’ told us not to bust our butts on the door on the way out...DO YOUR DAMN JOB ALREADY...!!!!!!!!!!!

From the smidge that I've heard from others over the years, they start a house or building project to put on a good show, and get in the deposits from the new clients. At the same time, they're also out hustling more new jobs; and then they start to slack off on the ones they've already "started" -- and the cycle just continues on like this. Really carp way to conduct business, not to mention a lack of respect and goodwill toward their present clients' projects.

Now, sometimes the issues may come instead, from the various trades -- electricians, plumbers, painters, etc. If they're behind in their own work, that can put delays on newer construction projects in the queue.
