Good Morning! Happy Father's day! Yesterday I spent a few hours with my Dad, because today Scott's Boys my MIL, and DIL, and all coming over. I got the oven preheating so I can get one loaf of bread in the oven, then the next, for dinner I'm making Scott's favorite Instant Pot Macaroni and Cheese, and one of the boys is bringing some kind of salad. Now if I can just get the rain to go away... I went out to feed the kitties, and man... it was SO muggy out. 70 degrees felt like 80. OK, maybe in can rain this morning for a little while to wash the mugginess away, and then be pleasant the rest of the day.

Sounds like a good day except for the mugginess. I'm going to be making mac & cheese today too per hub's b-day request. Our weather here is a little foggy and around 50 but it is supposed to be sunny and around 72. We had rain yesterday.

No
we will pick out parks on Monday for annual September trip. If it is like it
Is Currently in Florida we won’t be there. Couldn’t pay me to go to Florida, Texas, or NC this month. The Open it up scares the poop
Out of me. I love my family more than the economy. Priorities.
We're opening here in Maryland but with more precautions (for instance, you have to wear masks most places) and we have a decline in cases. I put my gym membership on hold and I'm not going back to the office, but I'm fine with outdoor activities. We're going to Hersheypark, which has increased precautions similar to WDW and we're definitely going to WDW in August, if for no other reason than to be out of the house and lazing around a pool.

We will also be picking parks tomorrow morning. Less than a month until our trip. Lots of concern, but also having really only been out of the house for some hikes and the grocery store in the last 3 months, we just want to get out of town. As two HS teachers and an HS kid, being totally away from people this long has been... difficult. We may end up spending quite a bit of time just in the resort and fully masked, but it will be nice to feel like humans again! We went to dinner at a restaurant that was at 30% open indoors and it was delightful to talk to those who were waiting on us! My wife is okay playing the introvert game for a few weeks, but I really can't stand it for more than a couple days. Having already cancelled a 4 day trip to Boston/New Haven/NYC and a 10 day trip to San Francisco area (both looking at colleges and visiting family), we need to do something! Yup, we are quite scared, but not willing to let it control us (too much).

I continue to be very impressed with Maryland's path through these difficult times. And while I understand why the dept. of education is waiting to make any kind of decisions (and I'm actually quite glad they are waiting), it is still quite stressful...

I'm trying to figure out what makes that political. That is just plain common sense and also should be very human.

Really? It isn’t veiled even slightly.

She is a darling baby and so loved. She won’t know what she is dressed in for a decade or two. Babies Fathers outfit of today is cute too. I don’t take offense but I’ve been called out for far less of a political statement Also why I play on this thread less and less.

Just in case your post wasn’t tongue cheek the list are the bullet points of this
Political Election season. It a Democratic poster currently, just slapped On a babies Tshirt She is darling and so unaware of what she is wearing.

Womens rights are at the Supreme Court currently being decided this session. Choice is on the line for women’s right to choose.

Kindness is the the First Ladies goal.

So yes common sense to center liberals not necessarily for some More conservative. Last night a woman wore a BLM shirt at the rally with a ticket was arrested and removed. I wouldn’t wear any Campaign slogan on my chest as I am aware of all the nuts out there and avoid being a targeted.

I’ll have the gift of Time
To see if Disney handles it well or not. We fly so there is that. We don’t go until after Labor Day so I have time to evaluate. If Florida is still high in cases and hospitalizations we will cancel.

Our gyms and water parks are not open. I don’t go indoors. I’m uncomfortable outdoors
Around groups of people. I walk but stay far from others. I curbside pickup everything

As a conservative I would love to comment on this but it would be considered political

So my first venture to somewhere 'public', a supermarket. Going outside doesn't count to me as public because you can always run away. Which I do because usually I'm running. Though I will probably have to cancel my gym membership. I don't feel comfortable enough going. But everyone had a face mask but skittish if people got too close.

What is with my watching TV shows with the Spanish flu or Black Death in it. Second show in a row that I'm watching that had it. 3rd if you count the show I started but bailed on.

Hey, wait a minute! Have you been on a food fast for a few months? :p Just asking because this was your first venture to a public place -- a supermarket. ;)

Have you ordered your groceries online, and had delivery for a few months? (I realize that some people do that.)
