Both of us are a bit sad this morning.😟
This was the morning we would be on our way to “the happiest place on earth”—our other home. We miss you Mickey and Minnie!

I’m sorry. :(

My mom is really upset over their cancelled trip. She’s so glad that the kids didn’t know, so they aren’t disappointed, but she’s taking this really hard. She knows in the grand scheme that it’s low on the totem of what’s going on, but she’s hurt nonetheless. They don’t know if this trip will come to fruition now. She wanted so badly to “say goodbye” to Disney, and have the experience with her grandkids.. and for them to have the memories.

I wasn’t a fan of this trip originally, but my heart is breaking for her too.

@ajrwdwgirl and @SteveBrickNJ ,

T’s teachers (all teachers at the school) are having an inservice day both Monday and Tuesday. They’re going to be taking a class on Zoom and Google Classroom, and also determining how to best move forward with their lesson plans.

Has your principals organized anything like this? I know some of our teachers were struggling more than others with the technology. It’s tough on the parents because we have to look so many different places for assignments right now, and also the kids really need more online video classes with the teachers and classmates.

They will be addressing this and streamlining it after their workshops.
I am in my 3rd day of teaching with Zoom. I learned by watching a tutorial on YouTube. It's not hard.

I was watching an HGTV show about remodeling and selling houses in Chicago, and I was absolutely FLOORED by the pricing on these homes!! Little houses the size of my tiny house were selling for over a million dollars. It was insane!
Living in Chicago is not cheap. Then I hear/read what some people are paying in California, and I wonder how they do it. Apartment rents are ridiculous. Would not want to be a renter, regardless of where we live.

I think we've watched them all now... hubby wanted to go to the shop when we go to Las Vegas in the fall, but everything I've read online says it's a lot smaller than it looks and the reviews are meh.

Yea, I have no desire to ever go there, and they all kinda’ annoy me, but, some of the “stuff” (all scripted, of course) that comes into the shop amuses me enough for now.
