Will your landlord allow you to skip a rent payment? Credit card companies may also be willing to help. I know that cable and other utilities will not be shutting off anyone's utilities for non-payment. If you have a business loan, ask the lender for a 90 day deferment. If your state was considered a disaster area like mine, they should give you one.

Those things are in my back pocket. I'm trying not to do them right off the bat. Maybe make one more payment, and then ask for help.

With the two different landlords - haven't heard anything from one. The other asked another tenant, "So, how are you going to pay your rent?" (But I think he kind of wants that guy out, even though it's the best business in the plaza IMO - the craft beer place.) Anyway, that's not the attitude I was hoping for, and that's going to come up quickly in about a week. We usually pay the rent for one store from the first weekend's receipts, and then pay the second store with the second weekend's receipts. Last weekend, we managed to do almost half of a normal weekend. This weekend will be virtually nothing. I have about enough for one of the two rents now, and a good 2-3 weeks to come up with the other. Ramping up internet sales has been a big flop so far. It's hard to go from 0-60 so fast. Still at 0.

All the other things, we'll wait closer to bill due date. Just paid my car lease, heard a friend had called Toyota finance (same as mine) and was offered a one month deferment to the end of the lease. He asked for two and got two. I think most things we'll be able to do a one month delay - but then what - we owe two months' worth in two months in some cases? Good luck.

I figure we have about a week left of wiggle room to see if the gov't comes through with anything, and to figure these things out.

DD is crushed. We watched the press conference about new regulations and they have extended the previous regulations from April 6th to June 1st, and they made them more strict. No public/social gatherings of more than 3 people. This also means get togethers in the home...you can have the household plus 3 visitors, and ONLY if you can still maintain 1.5 meter distance from each other. They also strongly advise people not to leave their house unless it's to go to work if there's no way to work from home, or to go to the grocery store, and then you have to do that alone. One person from the household can go to the store. IF you must go out to get fresh air, go alone if possible, and certainly no more than 3 people and only if you keep 1.5 meter distance between you. Mayors are being given power to place fines on anyone who is standing too close together or who have more than 3 people in a group. Kids are excluded from that...they can play together.

This means DD can't get together with any of her friends...although one friend is not allowed out by her parents. And one friend's mom works with corona patients at a hospital, so it's likely she will at some point be infected, so she can't leave her house. The other friends live out of town, so...she won't see her friends until at LEAST April 6th when the school closure is supposed to end. Though someone asked if schools were included as a gathering of more than 3 people and he said no, schools are still only closed until April 6th as of now. It could change, but that wasn't discussed. I think it's pretty stupid to tell people not to leave their homes, but then tell kids and teachers it's fine to put themselves at risk...how do you maintain 1.5 meter distance in a classroom or in the cafeteria??

They also said if anyone in a household is sick, everyone in that household is in quarantine. No one is allowed to leave. So basically we're on lockdown, but they aren't calling it a lockdown.

I did this a few days ago on FB and copied and pasted my answers with a few modifications. I didn't realize the donut one wasn't on there.

When I came to the question "What was the last thing you ate?" the answer both times was Oreos. I think I need help.

Anyone getting creative with leftovers? Share your ideas.
I made meatloaf last night. Tonight I am going to mix a few slices crumbled with pasta sauce and noodles. Plus, a salad.

That sounds good. We pulled some of the ribs hubs had smoked out of the freezer and had some fries. I've thought about trying at least one new recipe out of one of my many cookbooks at least once a week but so far just going with the old standbys.

At some point, we're going to do a whole Thanksgiving/Christmas turkey thing! (I have to find cranberry sauce.)

Back in December, we were asked to host B's Dad & Stepmom for Christmas dinner. I bought a turkey, stuffing, etc., and then they got sick and we didn't end up hosting. The bird has been in the freezer ever since. I think that will make for a good time in quarantine. But apparently Brian is first fixing and cleaning everything inside and outside the house all day long.

I'm planning on a Thanksgiving meal this week. I pulled up a turkey chest portion (decided on calling it that as it might get censored here) last night. I have some stuffing that I froze up at Thanksgiving to go with it.

I saw something on my wife's Facebook page.
It is maybe something that has "gone viral"?
Anyway, the point was....HS Seniors (I'm the father of one) are upset that their senior year is being ruined. (My DD is not complaining..she's been unselfish)
.......anyway, the response came back in this Facebook post:
Guys who were (HS) seniors between 1964ish and 1971 or so spent their senior year in Viet Nam.
I'm paraphrasing....but that was the main point.
I kind of doubt that is accurate. I would think the US Government did not draft young men until AFTER they graduated high school.
Anyone want to fill me in on that?
