For fun, over Christmas break I was watching Youtube reviews of Acura, Infinite, Volvo, etc.
Acura is more than I can afford right now ( due to my DD starting college this August)....but I can say that based on my research, Acura is a nice care and relative to other luxury brands it is more affordable.
I'll look for a video and then come back to the thread to attempt to post it.

I'll probably stick with my Civic for a while yet. It's a 2018 so I should be able to keep it for a while.

I test drove Chevy's, Toyotas, Hyundai's, and Buicks before finally deciding to test Honda's. The Honda's by far had the nicest interiors. I was picky. I ended up going with the Civic. It suits my needs for now. It's also fun to drive. Don't let the Ferret tell you differently. He's from an island and his ways are sometimes backwards.

Youngest has her first private lesson at the old gym today since the team disbandment. It is at 2. Forgot to mention that the drama creators still continue to create drama. One of the moms who was at the open gym had been a board member and did not like what was going on so she was going to the gym I was taking dd too. They (the evil people), texted her before she got home from the new gym Friday, and accused her of bad mouthing the newly created gym. I was shocked. I sat next to her (A),and not a bit of gossip had come out of her mouth. They got wind of us going because there was another mom (K)I had been friendly with previously, whose daughter transferred from dd’s old gym there. She is friends with the evil moms. She did talk to this woman, so who knows what conversation between the two got overblown. Funny because A had warned me last week about what I said to K because it would get back to evil moms. Therefore I know A would not have said anything regarding the drama to K. I also found out that the evil moms have a Snapchat group(I really don’t get Snapchat), and call themselves “The Bad Moms”. I swear they have yet to get passed their high school days. They are a sick and twisted bunch.
Good luck, it's almost over.

Question for any orthodontist or people who have kids who see an orthodontist...

I have never received a bill from T’s Ortho, And as of now the work he needs is being done through with the dentist, work recommended by the orthodontist.
He made it sound like T just visits and they make recommendations to the dentist office until braces or any appliances are needed. Am I ever going to get a bill for x-rays? Is this situation normal? If so, how do orthodontists make money if they’re doing so much for free? I’m totally confused.

Have you ever seen the cost of a doctors visit before insurance? Crazy.

and there's your answer why the US is screwed with any new virus or even flu season. People without insurance can't afford to go.
Or those with incredible high deductibles
Or worse those NEW junk insurance policies that cover little.

It also is hearing things from people like Azar saying some people may not be able to afford the vaccination when developed. 🇺🇸

If you have insurance they will bill the insurance company unless the first visit and x-rays is free. Don't worry about the money. They make it once the kids actually start getting appliances and then braces.

Proof to the saying "they don't make things like they used to" My son's boss was asked by a friend if he wanted anything out of 2 old houses (probably from the 30's maybe earlier). The houses were on property donated to the Nature Conservancy and were being torn down. They were working in NC over the weekend and went by where the houses were and loaded up a trailer with lumber old sinks and a 1951 International Harvester refrigerator that had fallen through the rotted floor and was on the ground (upright). They got back yesterday and plugged it in guess what--- It works --other than dirty on the inside and rusty outside (could be painted) the freezer is working and and the inside is cold as the new one I have in my house. A 69 year old refrigerator that who knows when it was last running I'm just amazed and they can't make one now that lasts 10 years -----That's progress Ha Ha--- Might add one of the houses is a Sears and Roebuck house -- Sears used to sell kit houses. Just one example of many styles sold 1583268893530.jpeg

Any idea of where this could be found:

Suite style room with a closed bedroom door
Breakfast included
Pool available
Not in Kissimmee or however you spell that
Not an AirBNB

Doesn't need to be on-site
Trip is in 34 days for 4 nights (not us!)
The bedroom door makes it tough. There is a Springhill Suites in Flamingo Crossing which is at the Western Way entrance.
