@MySmallWorldof4 unburger helper update. I can't tell you how it was and I didn't get any pics because it's all gone:rolleyes::cautious::banghead: I used mushrooms instead of the sausage and James claims not to like mushrooms🤪 He never bothers to pick them out or refuse to eat anything with them in it. Does that qualify as a picky eater?:hilarious:

As the oldest of 4 siblings, I was the least picky eater in the fam... :cautious:;) I ate everything mom ever put on the table...liver and onions, Brussels sprouts, lima beans, etc....!!!!! :hilarious:

Oh dear. Hate to hear about a family's Disney vacation that turned tragic (car accident).

ugh. Heartbreaking. Why do so many of these accidents involve twins. It is all horrid but I can’t imagine a twin going back to preschool solo after never. So sad

And why I use Disney transportation or an Uber. It isn’t just me being unfamiliar with the ever changing dynamics of Disney roads and turn offs it is all the others equally in the same situation. A year ago I had a rent a car for other purposes on a 5 week trip however I bused or Ubered still to the parks.

im sure the locals have a much better handle on bottlenecks and road revisions and know where the turn offs are in their sleep but when my DD WAS AN INFANT and a tourist suddenly realized he was in the wrong lane and made a right from the far left lane of a 6 lane road intersection forcing us to the shoulder I was so DONE being a tourist driving Disney. . Disney in the past two years has added Disney Bus Only lanes, Entrances and exits. So much more safe and relaxing.

Yep, they’re too young and stupid. Hopefully, they already sang. Myself and my friends did some crazy stuff back in the day, but, nothin’ close to the scale of Grand Theft Auto... :cyclops:

Yup. And an interesting tidbit on the 18-year-old in custody -- turns out he has a five-page rap sheet for various offenses as a "juvenile". Well happy 18th birthday, Mr. Scum -- now you've graduated into the "Adult" system. Whole different experience awaits you now . . .

Looks like just to the north of us will be getting snow and ice, we are right on the edge but even if we get snow the ground is too warm for it to stick. Calling for wind and a lot of rain. Tomorrow morning calling for 28 "Oh No Mr Bill" my pear tree is in full bloom with new leaves and my blueberries are blooming. I've got a grapefruit tree in the ground with blossoms made a frame yesterday so I can cover it up with blankets. Been a crazy winter

It's currently 20 degrees outside and not expected to go above freezing. Today's plan inside workouts, making a nice warm T shirt and cardi with some heavy jersey (cotton spandex blend just short of light sweatshirt weight) I got for $1 a yard. Have I mentioned I never pay rack rate:D Tonight's dinner groundhog sausage peppers and onions cooked with brown basmati rice and the poaching liquid from the chicken pasta salad.

Grains..... brown rice, farro, quinoa, couscous, millet, wild rice (both quinoa and wild rice are not actually grains though lol), etc. These all cook up amazingly in the instant pot. In fact, we've been able to switch completely to brown rice because the instant pot cooks it to the consistency of white rice. Which is awesome. For brown rice you just throw two cups of water in, two cups of (soaked) brown rice, and then hit manual for 25 minutes and it's perfect. I swear if that thing only ever made rice for me it was worth the $49 price tag, LOL

Then we toss whatever vegetables we want with a little oil or ghee and some salt and pepper and maybe some garlic, and roast those in the oven for like... 20 ish minutes.

Then we shred or slice anything we want to add cold, like the egg or avocado

Then toss a scoop of the grain in a bowl, load up with veggies and cover with the sauce.

I'll edit this with pictures and the sesame ginger sauce, although I only add one spoonful of the sugar, not three

Sorry, I know this was a while ago, but can one maybe substitute honey instead of sugar? Does anyone know, is brown sugar better for you than white sugar, or does it not matter? With the new diagnosis of diabetis, I'm trying to cut down on the unhealthy sugars. Honey seems like it would be better than white sugar, but if brown sugar is ok, then maybe the substitution of honey isn't neccessary.

Yes you could sub honey! No brown sugar is not healthier, it's literally just white sugar mixed with molasses. You could sub for any sweetener you want though. And you can reduce the amount of sweetener used. I find that if I reduce the vinegar a bit, I can reduce the sugar without an overall impact to the taste.
