Speaking of weather, we just had the most intense storm pass through here a few minutes ago. It wasn't really raining it was just solid water that was being pushed in every direction by 60 mile an hour winds. Looking out my window I couldn't see anything past 10 feet from my window. It only lasted about 5 minutes but it was very worrisome. The wind has calmed down now and even though it is raining now it is just above a steady rain. They have given Hurricane Warnings until about 7 pm tonight. It is headed toward the coast. It seems like it would be a good time not to be on I-95.
I saw there was a tornado potential from this rainstorm. We are getting hammered with rain right now. Glad it isn’t snow. We would definitely be digging out if it was.

That must have been the storm DD just called me about below GSO. It headed your way. They have some trees down below their house from it going through! Be safe! Lots of flooding.

I didn’t know Greensboro could get tornados. I would think the terrain there wouldn’t be conducive for one. Hope they remain safe.
Oh yeah. Her DH has always lived there. He remembers quite a few when he was little.
Since they’ve been married, there has only been one bad one that they went to the basement. It went across the city near downtown. DH went up to work that storm. It destroyed a lot of homes. And it was in the lower income housing- very sad.
They have lots of flat land up there.

Any just like that a big boss forwarded an article that has a little more explanation:

Choices to make

Starting July 2, Michigan drivers who are on Medicare or have commercial health insurance that covers car crashes (and with a per-person deductible no higher than $6,000) can choose to completely opt out of no-fault medical benefits.

Other drivers will be required to purchase some no-fault medical coverage, known as personal injury protection or PIP, with their auto insurance. They can pick from several options:

  • $250,000 in no-fault medical benefits.
  • $500,000 in no-fault medical benefits.
  • Unlimited no-fault medical benefits.
  • $50,000 in no-fault medical benefits — but only for those on Medicaid.

Actually, I think that's an interesting development in your state's insurance rules.

(As for the work involved for you and your colleagues, my heart does go out to you, though. That's a tough one.)

Awesome. Thank you, I’ll check out that brand!

What do you do for a bike rack? Do you have it on the back or your roof?

Here’s a photo of what I’m finding for a Wrangler (taken from google). I do have both a hard top and soft top, but I only use the hardtop in the winter so can’t put it on the roof.

That’s a few feet from the bumper and without being able to see out of the camera I’m a little worried. I might have to research this more.

That looks like a hatchback -- is that the kind of door that would open, so that you could just put the bikes in the back (inside) of the car (for example, if the seat in the back folded down flat)? Not sure if I'm explaining this correctly, but it was just a random thought I had for your bikes.
