Aren't you going to Pittsburgh today? I thought you were up early because you had to go there. Maybe you were just wound up, because of the drive ahead?
Maybe. I always get a little antsy before a trip. I guess I worry about not having everything I need. I do have 2 classes scheduled though, one at 5:30 and one at 6. We plan to leave at 8 this morning. Going to pick up another mom and her 2 daughters. I hope the forecasted rain doesn’t hit and keeps north of the area. It was supposed to rain where I live, but now it will just be cloudy.

Yup, all of the above would be enough to throw off my sleep last night, too!! :jawdrop:

Just tried to get info via the Banfield Vet website. Supposedly the app has "vet chat." It's been impossible to log in to either the site or the app, or to reset the password, etc.

Anyway, just found Kylie fairly wet in the front, and drooling for no reason. She was licking herself, which is normal for her, but she's pretty soaked, and even the rug around her.

This makes me nervous because that happened to my cat the night before she passed (but worse.)

Side note: she threw up a couple of days ago and has seemed a bit "off" for a few days.

Eating & drinking normally, going to the bathroom, walking, etc.

Inspected her mouth for anything lodged (she devoured a knuckle bone over a few days' time earlier in the week.) Didn't find anything.

Dried her off so we can tell if it is still happening. Plan to take her to the vet in the morning. Debating whether this merits an "emergency" situation but I don't think so. The cat wouldn't eat or drink and was hiding.

The whole website thing was frustrating as all heck.
Prayers and pixie dust my friend.

Pup seems mostly fine this morning. Got up to check her a few times during the night. She's dry, drinking water, a little lazy, but still got excited when I got the leash. Number two looked normal.

I called the vet while walking her, and out of an abundance of caution, I'm taking her in at 10:30 just to be safe. We have "free" visits included in a monthly fee, and I have to pick up her flea meds, anyway.

I'm guessing they're going to say, "Wait and see," and "X-rays will cost a lot and might not show anything" etc. like when her paw is acting up.
