Howdy gang...!!!
Bit of a crazy weekend, hope y’all and yours are all doin’ well...!!!
DWifey fractured her foot Friday night, Emy’s first birthday party was Saturday mornin’ at the kiddos place, and my MIL had another health scare, so we spent yesterday in, and driving to and from, Houston.
Thankfully, MIL is OK for now, DWifey should be without the crutches and splint tomorrow and into a boot, and Emy’s birthday party was awesome...!!!!!!!

What a beautiful party for Emy! Her bday is actually this Friday, correct? I have Oct 4 in my head for some reason. Sorry about dwifey’s foot. Don’t you have the cruise around the corner?
I love the sign your dd put together. Emy sure has lots of healthy favorite foods. My favorite word that is in her vocabulary is “love”. That is awesome. She knows she is a very loved little baby.

Her actual 1st birthday is on Oct. 4th, but, we’re all heading down to Houston that day, then to Galveston the next mornin’ to start our week-long family Southern Caribbean cruise.
DS’s birthday is on the 7th during the cruise, mine’s on the 20th, and then we head to MK on the 29th for our postponed one day “Worldwind” MK trip...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That brings us to 3.5 days of being off school due to heat. I’m hoping that we don’t have any snow days!

We are supposed to hit 97 by Thursday and then start to cool down. I'm sure glad that this climate change stuff is just a rumor started by China, because it sure does seem believable to me this year.

Oh my -- how did DWifey fracture her foot?!! Poor thing, I hope it heals sooner as opposed to later.

And your MIL-- whatever the health scare was for her, hopefully it passed for good and won't return.

On a happier note -- Emy's first birthday party! Her dress was adorable, and she was definitely the center of attraction. It's fun to be ONE!! Glad the family had a nice time, after the other stress of the weekend. Whew. Never a dull moment, eh?

She fractured it over at the kiddos Friday evenin’ helpin’ to set up for Emy’s party. She was comin’ down the stairs and her bad knee (the one she had surgery on after fallin’ in the rain at her old job at the mortgage company a few years ago) gave out. Her leg bent backwards and the top of her foot smacked a riser nosing as she went down on her knees holding the rail. Not pretty, but, she’s feelin’ better...!!!

MIL is doin’ better. BIL seems to be overreacting at times. She’s in no immediate danger...!

And yep, Emy’s party was awesome, and she and everyone had a great time...we’re just so very grateful and blessed that she’s such a healthy and happy child...!!!!!
Never a dull moment indeed, but, that’s just the way we roll...!!!!!
