The best trip ever!

That's an exact quote from my 6 year old son which pretty well sums up our recent 8/12-8/22 to WDW.

Cast: Me (Cara aka Mommy 28)
DH (Clif aka Daddy 28)
DS6 (Clifton)
DD4(Jordan)
DS2(Braylon)
DD1(Mikayla)

8/11 Off we go!!!

We left from Maryland, hoping to get as far as GA. We did, but it takes us about 3 hours longer than we though, because of traffic and weather. The first exit we got off of to find a place to sleep had a power outage. The next exit had no vacancy, because all of the people from the hotels where the power outage was, got rooms there! :hammer: We finally were able to get a room off of exit 3 in GA...I don't know why we just didn't keep on driving into FL

8/12 St. Augustine

We left from our hotel in GA at about 8am and 5 min. later have to make our ritual stop at the FL welcome center for the free OJ and to pick up some brouchures.
We drove as far as St. Augustine for the day to see Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum, the Fort and walk around the old town. It's a really relaxing place and a nice way to ease into a vacation.

8/13 KSC

We left St. Augustine and drove down to Cape Canaveral to tour the Kennedy Space Center. My DS6 was really excited about this. To my surprise all of the kids really enjoyed the tour. After we were done with KSC we checked in at a hotel on Cocoa Beach for the night and the kids got to see the ocean for the first time. It was great! My DD1 kept getting knocked over by the waves, but she loved every minute of it!

8/14 On to WDW!!!

We were up bright and early to leave for WDW. It took us less than 2 hours to get there from Cocoa Beach, so we got to WL at about 10:30am. We checked in, but were told that our room was not ready yet, so we headed over to Epcot to grab a quick bite to eat. Of course, the kids wanted to ride something, so, what never has a ride at Epcot? That's right! We got JIYI out of the way:hurl: Now that that was over with, we headed to Mexico for some tacos, nachos and churros. A nice healthy lunch to start the trip:animwink:
After eating, we went to Gran Fiesta, which I didn't think was too bad. My kids loved that it had Donald in it, so it was a hit with them.
I then called WL to see if our room was ready, and it was! We went back and I was told what room. Now, I booked a std.view with 2 queens, so that's what I'm expecting. While walking down the hall and looking at the numbers, I realize that we're on the pool side!!! Then I open the door and... bunk beds!!!:sohappy:
My kids start screaming and to be honest so do I! I was sooooo excited. I unpack, we explore the hotel, and then head back to Epcot for the Princess Storybook dinner at Akershus. My DH and I were really impressed. We were a little nervous about eating there, but it was great. We both had the spare ribs. The kids loved it too! After dinner we did Living with the Land and The Seas with Nemo and Friends. We then headed back to WL, because we had to be up early the next day.

We were up bright and early for breakfast at Chef Mickey's. My DS2 was terrified of the characters, but the other three loved them. We then headed over to AK. We decided to see AK in two half days, because to us it always seems like it is about 20 degrees hotter there than anywhere else and we didn't want to wear ourselves out. We went right to EE and my DH and DS6 got on in about 30 min. My DS6 was so proud of himself. It was all he talked about for the rest of the trip. While they did EE, I took the other 3 kids to Triceratop Spin. We then met up with DS6 and DH. DD4, DS6 and DH then went on Dinosaur. After that we went back to WL, because we all wanted to rest up for the Pirate and Princess Party that night.
At 4:00 we left for the PPP. Since the park was still pretty crowded, we decided to get a fastpass for Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, then go on TTA. After TTA, we ate at Cosmic Ray's, then went back to Buzz. It was getting close to the time for the PPP, so we headed over to Adventureland and rode POTC. We then went to Splash Mountain and got on twice in a row with no wait. After that we let the kids find some of the "treasure" and then headed over to Fantasyland for IASW and PP. After PP it was time for the fireworks. They were wonderful! My favorite fireworks I've seen by far. I love the way they matched the music to the fireworks. I can't say enough about it. After the fireworks, we went to Mickey's Toontown Fair and the kids rode the Barnstormer twice in a row, once with DH, and once with me. Then we had to go back to Tomorrowland, so that my DS6 could ride Space Mountain with DH before we headed back to WL for bed.

Love it ... can't wait for more! What did DS think of the Yeti? I couldn't convince my own DS to go on, even though I knew he'd love it.

First off, I would like to say that I am sick of them changing the name of this park. Okay, now that that's off my chest...
We got a little bit of a late start, because we were out until almost 1am the night before, so we decided that none of us were hungry enough for breakfast and to just head over the the park. This is probably our least favorite park, so we just chose to see our absolute favorites.
First thing we did was head over to Star Tours, because it's one of my DS6's favorites and my DD4 was finally tall enough to ride for the first time. While we were in line Darth Vader and 2 Stormtoopers came out for pitures and autographs, so my DS6 could not have been happier. We did the rider switch for this, so the older two got to ride twice, which made them very happy.
Next, we went to Muppet Vision 3-D, so that the younger two kids could enjoy something, too. After Muppets, we were all hungy. That's when it happened, I made my worst mistake of the trip. I asked 4 kids under 7 what they wanted to eat while standing outside of Toy Story Pizza Planet. I do not like this place at all, and they love it, so I put on a smile and choked down some "pizza":hurl: .
We then headed over to Voyage of the Little Mermaid. My DD1 loved this more than anything else on the trip. We walked past TT and RRC, but both line were very long, and the fast pass return times were after we were planning on leaving, so we decided to skip them, especially since my DH was the only one who would be going on them.
The last thing we did in the park was the Great Movie Ride. It's old, it's outdated, but I still really enjoy it for some reason.
We at dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe, which is always good and always a lot of fun. My DS6 did the pony ride, but my DD4 was too shy, so she just stayed back and cheered on her big brother with the rest of us. After dinner we just lounged around the resort. My husband and I got some drinks, and we went down to the beach to let the kids play. We stayed until after the Electrical Water Pagent, then we went to bed.
