What's your all time favorite attraction at any theme park in the world?

For me its a toss up between Splash, ToT and...revenge of the mummy :lookaroun

TOT by far. They took a basic drop ride and made it very involved and a complete experience from the line till the exit.

Haunted Mansion for me, but close runners up are: Tower of Terror, Soarin', Rock 'n' Rollercoaster, Expedition Everest, and Superman and Raging Bull at Six Flags.

I’m not as well travelled as many are. So I’ll keep my comment to the two main Orlando parks. Before the yeti broke down, EE was my favorite. That AA gave that coaster something that no other coaster I’ve been on had and made it a truly special ride. Now, it’s ToT. Then RnR. Then a toss-up between Splash Mountain and Revenge of the Mummy.

Either Indiana Jones or Pirates at Disneyland. If you are going to wait in line, Indy gives you the better experience because of its exhaustive queue. The ride is terrific, too - but Pirates (the DL version, floating by the Blue Bayou in the beginning) is my favorite ride. My #3-5 would be Horizons, the American Adventure and the original Journey Into Imagination (in no particular order).

1. Forbidden Journey
2. Spaceship Earth
3. Indy - Forbidden Eye

(Fix the Yeti, and EE willl move back onto the list)

As a Disney nut, it kills me to put a Universal attraction at the top.:hurl:
But honesty is a virtue, right?

My top four:

1. Spiderman - IOA (WHOOPS! FIXED!)

2. Tower of Terror - TOKYO DISNEY SEA VERSION

3. Pirates of the Caribbean - DISNEYLAND PARIS VERSION

4. The Voyage of Sinbad - Tokyo Disney Sea

I'm three weeks away from riding Forbidden Journey... I have a feeling that will get shoehorned somewhere in the middle of these.

EDIT TO ADD: Well I feel slightly stupid... I forgot about Pooh's Hunny Hunt at TDL. It would probably have to slide in at number 2.

The Griffin at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. I have not had many occasions for thrill rides as of late at other parks.

Superman? :p

I'm also curious what makes TDS's Tower rank while DHS's doesn't?

HA! Wow. Spiderman, I meant. I don't even know HOW I did that.

Tokyo's storyline is a lot better, I feel. First off, the outside of the tower is AMAZING looking, with effects and lightning and so forth at night. Here's a pic from our trip... Check out the detail:

That's not to say DHS's looks bad... It looks better than DCA's and is MUCH better than Paris's "bargain basement" look, comparatively. But the detail is just extreme, and the effects at night put it over the top.

And I think the pre-show is a lot better. The story of the cursed idol (the Shiriki) that Harrison Hightower found, how he shrugged off the curse, what it had done to previous owners... And then the very cool effect at the end of the pre-show... Which I won't spoil, but I'm sure is out there on youtube.

After that, the two versions are mostly the same, with a few in-ride effects being different. Also, insead of a boiler room, you're waiting in what amounts to a museum storage area, which is really cool. Lots of "artifacts" around... Tons to look at and take in... All within inches of you, and none of it is torn apart because of the way the Japanese people respect the ques.

That's great looking! My issue with it would be that it doesn't look...abandoned. That's what I love about the Hotel at DHS the charred front, how the tower really appears forgotten. That's not taking anything away from what you've shown me...just my preference in "show".

It actually does have a bit of the "abandoned" look, if you look close... Like, for example, check out the large glass windows toward the top that are all broken, etc... In person, those really stand out. There are curtains blowing around them, etc... The windows stand out especially at night, when the effects on the building are all working.

I'd imagine part of the reasoning for the building not looking too torn up was to make it fit thematically with the rest of the New York area the building is in... I mean, it sits right next to a cruise ship!!! Here's a pic just to the right of the ToT. AMAZING.... Simply AMAZING.

But it doesn't have that charred front, you're right... And I would probably attribute that to the different story line. The lightning effects on the building are just meant to be spooky and creepy, as opposed to serving a purpose in the DHS storyline.

Didn't even notice the windows...nice touch.

I think it just comes down to personal preference. Although it does look fantastic!

Man I need to get rich so I can head out to TDS.
