Anyone else excited for the new season of The Amazing Race to start??

Our group/team over there is called AmazingRaceMagic but I honestly don't know the easiest way to find us. If anyone does know how, let me know! However, as of 10/1/09, if you click public groups, we are on page 104, ranked 520, with 54 points. We can be found there until after points are tallied for episode two.

Here is how you can score/lose points:

III. How Do I Score Points?
A. If any of the Amazing Race Teams on your team do any of the following during an episode of the show, you score points. No points are awarded for flashbacks. Watch the show and see what's happening. Here's how the points are scored:

a. First to Complete a Detour: Your team earns 50 points anytime one of your Amazing Race Teams is the first team to complete a detour.

b. First to Complete a Roadblock: Your team earns 50 points anytime one of your Amazing Race Teams is the first team to complete a roadblock.

c. First to Complete a Fast Forward: Your team earns 100 points anytime one of your Amazing Race Teams is the first team to complete a fast forward.

d. Victim of a U turn: Your team loses 100 points anytime one of your Amazing Race Teams Team is victim to a U Turn.

e. First to the Mat: Your team earns 100 points anytime one of your Amazing Race Teams is first to the Mat.

f. Second to the Mat: Your team earns 50 points anytime one of your Amazing Race Teams is 2nd to the Mat.

g. Third to the Mat: Your team earns 25 points anytime one of your Amazing Race Teams is 3rd to the Mat.

h. Team is Eliminated: Your team loses 100 points anytime one of your Amazing Race Teams are eliminated.

i. Last to the Matt But Not Eliminated: Your team loses 50 points anytime one of your Amazing Race Teams is last to the Mat but is not eliminated.

j. Team Cries: Your team loses 25 points anytime any member of one of your Amazing Race Teams cries.

k. Team Falls: Your team loses 25 points anytime any member of one of your Amazing Race Teams falls.

l. Penalty: Your team loses 100 points anytime one of your Amazing Race Teams receives a penalty.

m. Helps Another Team: Your team earns 25 points anytime any of the members of one of your Amazing Race Teams helps another team.

n. Speaks a Local Language: Your team earns 10 points anytime any of the members of one of your Amazing Race Teams speaks the local language.

o. Swearing: Your team loses 5 points anytime one of your Amazing Race Teams swears (bleeped out).

p. Hugging: Your team earns 5 points anytime any member of one of your Amazing Race Teams hugs another person.

Actually, I do tune in from time to time...I can actually sit through the drama to see the sites.:lol: They have done some amazing things on that show!

Yes..there is hardly any drama on there...my brother and I want to apply for it..:)

We already have our application video planned...people would LOVE us!:D:sohappy::lol:

I LOVE Amazing Race!
I always try to imagine myself doing what they do...and then I realize I'd have a nervous breakdown after 2 episodes :lol:

I've often thought of doing it, but I wouldn't want to see the World that way. Too quick. I need time to drink it all in and appreciate it.

It would be.:lol:..and I want to see the world at a slower pace also..but once we win Amazing Race we will just travel..;)

My husband and I seriously considered applying. Especially after we met Phil and he asked us if we'd ever applied and said we should.

But then we looked into it and found out you have to be able to be away from your job for more than a month. Even if you are eliminated first you don't go home until the show is done filming.

We won't be applying. My husband gets a lot of vacation time but there's no way his work would want him leaving for over a month. Plus the work piling up for that long would be unbearable when we got back.

We'd lose anyway. I have a bladder the size of a grain of rice. We'd lose because of all my bathroom breaks! :ROFLOL:
