Does anyone know when Innoventions will reopen? I heard there would be an exhibit for the 60th.

It appears that that rumor is not panning out. I was told not to expect Innoventions to reopen until the fall at the earliest, and at that time it would be all meet-n-greets. We'll see I guess.

Paint The Night news:

Last nights testing did not include the whole parade, sadly. From what I could see, the drum float is AMAZING!!!! Following the drum float are three costumes from the "Carnival of Color" event, from the premiere of 'World of Color,' Genie, Tigger & Lumiere (pics included below). Frozen float was tested tonight, and the music is spectacular. Tink's float has a new lighting scheme separate from Hong Kong Disneyland.

Will carnival of color be in PTN? Or are they just taking place of floats right now?

I agree with Endor and we should probably start using the spoiler tag for all the 60th stuff going forward in order to not ruin it for those who want to be surprised.

A excellent suggestion.
I am one of those folks who want to be surprised and see it all firsthand myself when i return to DL in August.
Back when BMTR re-opened from it*s extensive refurbishment i purposely avoided videos and overly descriptive posts as i wanted to be surprised.
SO glad i did....as the new finale was ten times better when i did*t know what was coming and experienced it live.

I figured at some point i would probably have to exit this thread, but if it ends up being a *spoiler-free* zone i can stay and enjoy.
Looking forward to all the new entertainment, but hope to keep some of it a surprise for later!

:)

If that is the case, a bit of a letdown.
I liked the idea of some type of display for the 60th as rumored.

Wish something truly innovative would be done with that building....

I am sad it won't be open for my first trip, not because I love Marvel meet and greets, but because of the building's history. I just wanted to kind of "feel the space", if that makes any sense. I thought the 60th exhibit would have been a nice touch. Oh well, it something has to be closed, then Innoventions being closed is better than say Matterhorn or Indy.

That would be a bit of news. Yeah DL! Any more info about what won't be ready on the 22nd? Any more writing on the drum?
A few malfunctions here and there, but working on it. He said all the floats ARE assembled and testing, just minor (and some major) problems scattered throughout, as expected. The drum float seems to be a static image, I didn't see it change. Anna & Elsa are speaking characters, in addition to Ariel.

Thank you for this! I forgot to post that picture.

You are not really missing anything inside, except the entertaining demonstrative show featuring Honda*s famous humanoid robot ASIMO ( highly recommend seeing in person ).
The upper level is mostly cloned activities from Epcot*s SSE post-show, Disney Infinity video game demos, and the various Marvel heros M&Gs.
The lower level has little to offer unless you are into home decorating and want to feel like you are shopping in a furniture store in a world famous Theme Park you just paid a lot of money to enter.
;)

I will however admit that it IS interesting from a Park history standpoint to go inside and see the interior and moving floor sections ( no longer rotating, sadly ).

While some questioned the thematic fit of a retro-flashback type of museum display of Disneyland history in Tomorrowland, i thought it sounded promising.
ANYthing is more interesting then what is currently housed at DLs Innoventions....the exception being the fasinating ASIMO ( i*m a robotics fan ).

You'd think the Drum would be animated in this day and age.

Is the drum attached to a train like in MSEP?
