Agreed about NPH not being to tied to Disney. I find him very contrived and plastic... Not a fan. Hope he tones it down for DL60.

Shame about HMH not getting a reprieve for a year.... @Endor Sightseer

and REALLY hopping that that's not primer on the castle. Tan/cream would be wonderful and retro!

Hey, NPH is better in my mind than Rihanna which was being tossed around on twitter a day before the press event. Don't know that was an actual rumor or people were just playing.

What about Tom Hanks hosting? I mean yeah he is a big Hollywood celebrity but he has been Woody in all the Toy Story movies, he is also going to be in the Jungle Cruise movie and played Walt Disney!!! in Saving Mr Banks! I think he would be a great fit, maybe not as young and energetic as Niel Patrick Harris but still a great host! Anyway, NPH has enough on his hands with the Oscars...

I know he is a big Disney fan and often goes to the parks with his family. Currently he does voice over at California Screamin' and will a voice in the good dinosaur. I'm not sure if there is much more of a connection.
Harris has also done the Candlelight Processional for the last few years. Doogie Howser, M.D. aired on ABC (but was made by Fox).

You think they're planning something for the "soundstage" that the mad arcade was in since they pretty much sold everything?

I say kill the out of place Disney animated film tie ins and make it a swing/jazz area so it's more in line with the rest of the work to the park.

You must not read the Miceage Updates? (Really a must-read for any Disneyland fan)

From the last Miceage Update on Micechat... http://micechat.com/94360-disneyland-diamonds/

"....the expensive 4K conversion of Soarin’ Over California and Grizzly Peak Airfield. Those things were originally to be announced on January 28th, with additional information fleshed out for the local fan bloggers at multiple Q&A sessions that night; like the plan to remake Taste Pilots Grill into a new restaurant called Smoke Jumpers Grill with a 1940’s theme and a dance floor made for swing dancing."
