I think the tarps were for the big reveal (and also a slight refurb of the castle) rather than just to get it ready.

I'm going in a couple weeks- I hope that there aren't any tarps :) It would be such a shame to have the castle covered!

Remember that, in addition to a slight refurb, the castle was completely repainted. When the tarps came down, it was revealed in its new paint scheme and the Diamond decorations were added gradually after that. I'd imagine the castle won't go behind tarps.

I can't wait for it to return to how it looked post-repainting, pre-Diamond Celebration. That was a beautiful few weeks for Sleeping Beauty Castle, the best it's looked in years!

I THOUGHT it looked a little different underneath! That makes me excited to see :) I heard (from our wedding planner) they were going to do something like that but didn't see it mentioned anywhere.

Well, PTN got quite a send off last night!!!!:

It was great to see! PTN got DL back on track with light parades! Seeing that send off was wierd at the the same time since Disney confirmed PTN coming back for the holidays along with MC saying PTN will be in DL for a long time.

I'm not happy DL lost Kiss Goodnght!(along with DL Forever and WOC-C!)Best song I've heard in a long time. That should be in every park at closing(After MK's own Kiss Goodnight in MK of course!)

That's my Question, Sure it's nice to thank DL's 60th for PTN but it's not done. It looked like DL's MSEP Final night! IDK if there any vids of MSEP's final ending at Small World but I can just imagine.....

They're going to get all the diamonds off just in time to put on the snow.

I hope the castle roof is repainted atleast. I remember they looked quite in need of a refurbishment pre-Diamond Celebration/post refurb.

If for some reason this really isn't just going away for refurb, Disney truly doesn't get how popular it is and what a mistake it would be to make it "glow away forever" like they (kinda) did with the MSEP.
