I'm off to sweet home Chicago. The city of broad shoulders, the Windy City, the home of the lovable losers. I shall miss our discussions and our banter but have no fear I will be back. Talk with you all on Tuesday.

As S.I.R. would say.....Bon Voyage!

oh, crap! katybar the doors and windows! freak's a-comin' to town! ;)

glad to have ya down here in the greatest, most beautiful city in the world, freak.

for the unitiated, allow me to clarify that "lovable losers" refers only to the chicago cubs baseball team and not the denizens of chicago as a whole. we ain't lovable!

chicago is also home to the real sue, the largest and most complete t.rex ever discovered (a fake sue is on display at animal kingdom, as i'm sure you all know; the original is at the field museum on the shores of lovely lake michigan).

sue was alive the last time the cubs won a world series.

freak, if you're still around to read this, make sure you don't miss the chicago summerdance festival. this coming sunday, the featured musical act is the dick polk orchestra! (i've never heard of the dick polk orchestra before; i just like saying dick polk orchestra.) can you believe it? the dick polk orchestra!

while we're on the subject, some well-known chicago politicians include dick daley, dick devine and a poor fellow by the name of dick phelan.

one of my favorite songs played by the DICK POLK! orchestra is that old Go-Go's song, "We Got the Beat."
