I really like 3.0. About the only thing I miss from 2.0 is the queue music. Nothing particularly memorable about the 3.0 music but that’s also not a huge deal. The actual ride is greatly improved, to me.
yeah pretty generic forgettable at best, which is what Disney does now for some reason, they have really lost the I don't know, umpf,,of originality and cohesion. Imagination is on version 3, Spaceship Earth is on 4th narrator/versionHas there ever been an attraction with as many extensive makeovers? I have a feeling I'll be taking my grandkids on TT 7 (Yeah, 7) .0 and spinning yarns about kiosks in the queue and rambling on about how version 5.3 was peak Test Track.
I actually really like the new music as you wander around the front of the park. Just wish they integrated some classic Epcot themes sporadically. I enjoy its nods to the Innoventions loop.yeah pretty generic forgettable at best, which is what Disney does now for some reason, they have really lost the I don't know, umpf,,of originality and cohesion. I actually love the 3.0 music. I love this version a billion times better than 1 or 2! I listen to the soundtrack on YouTube.I really like 3.0. I will always be an Epcot purist but love the 3.0 theme. I love the narration! Feels more like Epcot Center to meI actually really like the new music as you wander around the front of the park. 3.0 is great music. I’ve added it to my Apple Music library and never skip if one of the songs comes up on shuffle.I actually love the 3.0 music. I love this version a billion times better than 1 or 2! I listen to the soundtrack on YouTube.
You probably wouldn't have liked the first version of Test Track seeing as how it was virtually the same experience every time. The interactive stuff (which rarely worked, anyway) was unique to version 2.I wasn't all that impressed with the new version of TT. For one thing, I found the voices a bit annoying. WDW also took away one of the reasons to re-ride TT. I'm a big fan of rides that offer variation, like the different songs on GoG.
That said, additive manufacturing has a potential to allow customers to easily customize their vehicles and to more easily re-customize them. It would have been fun if the newest version had updated the create-your-own part of the attraction.
The old TT encouraged riders to add things like giant tires. In the real world, I think most people will focus on long-term value, safety and options that make everyday life easier.
based on original vision (all pavilions redone every 10 years) we're due versions 4 & 5 respectivelyImagination is on version 3, Spaceship Earth is on 4th narrator/version

Agreed... their original vision depended upon dedicated sponsors "climbing over each other indefinitely" (and it is primarily why WS never lived up to the original "blue sky;" imo it's why TT3.0 seems great ...it's the one pavilion that's never suffered from a lack of sponsor (plus they boast of being EPCOT's 1st)).Original vision had sponsors playing a bigger role but yes, more things should have seen updates by now ideally

I'm intrigued how seemingly evenly-distributed everyone's favorite version is. If I took the time to tally all the opinions on this forum (I won't!) it seems pretty much one-third each. Everyone has their reasons. For example, I love the video of 3.0 even more than actually riding 1.0 & 2.0.... primarily because of how it incorporates WoM & Horizons vibes (hope to go soon, because I know a video can never do justice).I rode the original version many times.
Overall, 2.0 was an improvement, but some portions of the original were better.
I still always think 'anti-lock brakes,' when riding through the anti-lock brake portion of the ride, for example.
Alas, the original ride often didn't run at all when it was new. It was down more often than it was running.![]()
Also at the time WDP was a much smaller company and needed that sponsorship money. They really don't have that problem any more and they still can't update often enough. That being said, I am glad GM is still on board to prevent them from turning it into Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy.Original vision had sponsors playing a bigger role but yes, more things should have seen updates by now ideally
2.0 was literally the first non-IP related update Epcot had gotten in years.2.0 was fine, but a little too IP for me, where as 1.0 felt more unique. 3.0 has that real authentic Disney feel… only saw the video so far, but I know it’s gonna be my favorite![]()
You’re right, but Tron was written alllll over it. I felt it in my bones. That’s more of what I meant I guess.2.0 was literally the first non-IP related update Epcot had gotten in years.
