Just for kicks, here's a wonderful video IN COLOR of the 1934 World's Fair where at 5:44 you'll see the Chrysler Motors pavilion! WOW!

This video amazed me! So great to have a decent quality video from 1934 and I love the narration of course! I had no idea that they built such interesting/innovative buildings. Sorry to be off topic but after any World's Fair, Did the buildings all just get demolished when the fair ended?

Some buildings from some of the World's Fairs still exist today. For instance, the Space Needle in Seatle is a remnant from the 1962 World Expo. The Palace of Fine Arts from the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago still exists. The most iconic symbol from the 1964 New York World's Fair, The Unisphere (which made an appearance in Men in Black), still exists in Flushing-Meadow-Corona Park in the Queens. Color footage from the making of it can be found here:

Yep. That shouldn't be a surprise. Disney has scheduled another (social) media whorefest to show off the half of Fantasyland's 'expansion' that is opening the first week of December. This gives them something else to plug to the media. They'll likely officially announce MK's new parade, dates for the rest of the F-Land expansion's debut, tout the GF DVC and, more than likely, make a few smaller announcements regarding the Studios project (more on the entertainment end). When you wrap that all in a whorefest bow, it'll appear much more impressive than any of it really is on its own.
WDW1974, not arguing with the substance of your commentary, but is there perhaps a better, all-ages metaphor you could use in place of "whorefest"?

Is it the same surprising and logical reason why the Sorcerer's hat is still up in DHS?

There is no possible reason logical enough to outweigh how horrendous it looks.

haha, the BAH has none. TT's canopy...like I said, do I agree with the reasoning? Not necessarily but it's a giant stretch because of the fact that they could've done something different for the reason they gave, but yet they didn't.

It's mainly for weather reasons, for both Guest and Cast comfort.

I heard and saw the cars cycling myself today. It appeared that they were traveling at show speed, though that's hard to gauge. I tried to get a picture from several angles but was unable. I remember it being easy, but maybe that's only from closer to the entrance? The car I saw appeared to be red.

I think there should be an actual event somewhere in the world called "whorefest" that would be a sight for the ages :)

Canopy work started this morning. Here is that concept:
