Test track in September

We'r going mid September. How likely or unlikely do you think it would be to secure a same day evening fast pass (4 people) on a Tuesday, or any weekday, after my other 3 passes are used? Most of our fast passes are used no later than noon.

Your group is better off doing single rider. It's tough enough getting a 4th FP for TT for one person, let alone for four people. Your chances are slim.

Would Soarin or Frozen be any better? I dont want to tie up Fast Passes all day just to do an evening ride on it. Single Rider isn't an option for us. My boyfriend and his son (11) have never been and I would rather not do these experiences solo. Epcot should have extra magic until 11pm one night. Do you think lines would be lower then?

It's a matter of what you want your Tier 1 attraction to be in the morning. I'm guessing Soarin'? As for EMH, yes, lines will be lower. Only resort guests would be able to ride. Because of how Epcot is laid out make sure you're on the north side of the lagoon closest to FW starting around 9pm so that you have more time to do TT and other attractions. (You won't waste EMH time walking around the lagoon).

We could ride during Illuminations with a lower wait time maybe? We're arriving on Sunday afternoon and plan to do Hollywood with our last fast pass hopefully 7pm-8pm. We could hop over to Epcot to see fireworks that night and skip them on extra magic hours night.

Illuminations won't be an issue in September -- it ends in August. There is a new interim show, Epcot Forever. Your choice on whether or not you want to see it. But, yes, lines may be somewhat down during whatever show is going on.

Oh! I thought Illuminations was running through September?! Bummer.. I was hoping to catch it one last time. Oh well.. We can still see the new show, hopefully, Sunday night or another night. I'm really only planning "days" and leaving nights up to whichever park we may feel like going to but i am hoping for a night ride on Test Track, Slinky, and Tower of Terror.

In that case, go to Epcot when it has EMH. If you're in HS first, don't wait to go to Epcot at park close. I'd leave at least an hour early so that you're ahead of the crowds and have time in Epcot. Take the boat to the Int'l Gateway.

Im thinking Sunday night would probably be our best chance for Slinky in the dark since we're only booking night fast passes. ToT I don't think will be a problem so that just leaves Test Track. I haven't been since 2010 so I am pretty excited to see it now.

I always enjoy getting a fastpass right in the morning for TT, and rope dropping for Frozen first, then using the TT fastpass. Soarin's lines really aren't that bad anymore since they added the 3rd theatre. It's always less than the posted time.

I was planning to rope drop Test Track and we are planning fast passes (two mornings) for FEA and Soarin. I may change our Soarin fast pass to Test Track though. But I'm really wanting to do it after dark without wasting an hour waiting for it. I think we'll try for EMH in the evening and try to get in line around fireworks time.

You shouldn’t have to waste a Fastpass on Soarin’ with the third theatre if all three are runnning. Wait times are down outside of peak.

The gamble with TT late on is the weather earlier that day. If it’s down for weather for a few hours when it comes back up everyone with a FP from that period will arrive all expecting to ride. You’ll have to judge it on the day.

Personally I wouldn’t waste anything on Frozenstrom now but that’s just me. If the family have to see it then use a FP.

I LOVED Maelstrom. Im the only one who wants to see FEA out of our group though.. I want to see everything new there. I pretty much had to sell my soul to get my boyfriend to agree to come and my kidney and left arm to pay for it. . . so I'm not sure how often we'll be back

**ETA we'll be there Sept 8-14

That’s usually around our favourite time since it’s not as busy as other times. Hopefully that will help too.

(Less busy, not quiet)

That's why I picked those days. After summer break, after labor day.. When my sister started the college program in 2006 we took her down there on September 10th and I remember walking around and riding things multiple times without even getting off. I know it's changed a lot since then but I've heard its still one of the least crowded times. I also wanted to make sure SWGE was NOT open. My original dates were Oct 6th-12.

There's a good chance that there won't be terrible lines. I went Christmas week which has higher property capacities all around and starting around 9:30-10 the crowds had thinned out to minimal (on non-EMH nights). Not sure about Test Track, but the first night we went to EPCOT, Frozen was a 20 minute wait, and the second night it was probably about 10 and it is technically a newer ride so more people will want to ride it. Soarin was a 30 minute wait the first night, and I think 15 the second night, and there's usually 60-90 minute wait minimum.

I wouldn't guarantee it, but there's a fairly good chance you might be able to walk on. Good luck!

I know it will be HOT. I plan on having two mornings at Epcot and two at Hollywood so we can easily hop back to our pool at the Boarwalk for lunch, swim breaks or naps if needed. I also told everyone we're not turning our air on during the summer here in Missouri to prepare...(and save extra money for Disney 😂😉)

We were there right before xmas time so the crowds were high. Even so, the only attractions for which FPs sold out were the big 3: Frozen, TT and Soarin. We saved our Soarin FP for the afternoon, got to the park at rope drop, and rode TT, Frozen, and Soarin on standby before lunch (only Soarin had a wait over an hour), and then we used our Soarin FP after lunch and went back to TT for the single rider line as well. I'd save your FPs for the afternoon and do your other important rides at rope drop. There's a good chance you won't be able to add a Tier 1 ride in the afternoon.

We'll definitely ride Test Track in the morning.. I was just hoping we'd be able to secure a bonus fast pass after our three were used because I want everyone to experience a night ride without spending an hour in line. But I think (HOPE) we'll be able to do that either with the extra evening hours or during fireworks. It sounds like you had a great experience during such a busy time!! I'm concerned about higher wait times because of under staffing.. Not big crowds.. Which, in my opinion, is worse.
