Are there any GM employees here who have used the employee entrance. I am a GM employee and am going down to WDW soon and wanted to know the lounge was like.

I am not a GM employee but work Test Track. The lounge on top of Test Track is very nice. They offer some fountain beverages, great views of the park and Mission: SPACE, and also a view of the inside of the attraction. The GM cast is very helpful. They also have pictures of their present vehicles and future concepts. The location of the GM Lounge Entrance is to the right of the FastPass queue line. Its kinda hidden away, but their is a sign on the door that shows the GM logo. Just have your employee ID ready to flash at the little camera for access. When you get their, you will know what I am talking about.
Have Fun!

I am not an employee either, but my dad is. We were down there last April and we were not allowed up to the lounge. We were told to go in the door where the gift shop is and go to a counter where they looked at his ID and took down his name. Then we were taken to the line and only had like a 5 minute wait. You can show your ID twice in one day and skip the line. I vaguely remember being told that the lounge was closed the day we were there (Easter sunday) so that might be why we weren't allowed up there.

I am not a GM Employee... but, I did do some work for OnStar.

I was backdoored into Test Track last Tuesday...very cool... first off...there are pieces of rubber everywhere backstage... all over the sidewalks and everything... from the tires loosing big chunks of rubber on the track and flying off... those lil chunks can get very hot as they fly off...lol. I went in thru the back by the maintenance bays.... and went thru a series of hallways. The Lounge is very nice and I remeber the set of windows that looks out into the ABS testing part. Then we went thru another set of hallways into the ride loading area. Turns out 2 imagineers were right in front of me and my tour guide... and we got to ride the ride with them... it was pretty cool. :)

I am taking a trip in a few days for christmas. Is the GM employee lounge still around? Do you think they would let me up as a future employee? I have an offer letter I can show, but my start date isn’t until Summer 2020 as I graduate college this may.

Active employees or on contract to GM only. Must show GM or contact company ID to enter.

I used to work for a company where Fed Ex was our major international carrier. Our national sales manager hooked me up a few times. Pit passes to Fed Ex sponsored Formula One races. I was standing next to David Letterman one race while down on the track. I didn't even realize it until my friend brought it to my attention. The salesman also gave me a packet with several company-sponsored passes for Disney. One was Fed Ex which sponsored Space Mountain for years. That entrance is to the right and on the side of the building. One was Siemens for Spaceship Earth. That was a cool lounge. The other was for Test Track which was being remodeled when we were there. All were pretty much the same. Sign in, cool off, have a soda and then the company rep escorts you though a back door where you're right in front of the line.

My company buys a lot of GM cars. Our employees get GM employee pricing when we buy new cars at GM. That's worth a bit more than a free soda and skipping the line. :)

We also have contracts with Disney - but no discounts (yet, I can hope)
