What can you tell me about WDW in February? I know there aren't any special events per say...how was the weather, crowds when you were there last??

We are going for the Princess Half Marathon. I figure that weekend will be packed, but we are arriving on the 20th, so we will have a full 5 days before the madness begins. We've been there in January and it was freezing then! Is it starting to warm up much in February??

We went in the beginning of February. Loved it!!! Crowds were very low in the beginning of the month. Weather was so-so. 3 days of record low temps, and then 4 days of very nice weather, sunny and upper 60s. Coming from the north in February, that was beautiful. They were forecasting 70s for after we left (figures). :) Have fun!!!!!

Weve been several times in Febuary and the crowds have always been lite. The weather is usally nice but the last two times we went was really cold. Thank goodness we brought gloves and heavy clothes. We decided to go in September this year and it's looking like we may burn up.

The weather can really be hard to predict. We've been there in Feb. before and never gone to the pools, and worn jackets most days. Other Feb. vacations have been actually hot! Just keep an eye on the Weather Channel! The crowds are lighter and if you get lucky with the weather, it's a fantastic time to be there!

Just stay away from President's Day weekend. We didn't account for that a couple of years ago and the crowds were more than we expected. There also seemed to be a light of high school band type of competitions going on, but then again, we were staying at All Star Music, so they were probably headquartered there.

It starts to warm up around 50s-60s most days. It will be packed though because the grade schools have winter break around that time

I've never heard of this! I thought winter break was over after New Year's.

Overall, it looks like our calendar week is really good. Princess Half Weekend will be a madhouse, but it is just the two of us and not our kids so we figure it will be much easier than usual to get around and the crowds probably won't bother us much.

I'll definitely be watching the weather as it gets close because we are flying this time and I want to stick to one suitcase/one carryon. I don't trust airlines. They always lose our bags!!

I was there last February and I most certainly did not pack correctly for the weather. It was freezing!! Like highs in the 40's and 50's. Granted, all the CM's I spoke with said this was extremely unusual, but they also said that February weather in that area is wildly unpredictable.

We have gone twice in feb. Two years ago it was amazing, cool weather in the morning and evening, sunny, and no crowds. We walked on almost every ride. (except toy story and dumbo) We went to restaraunts and they only half the dining room was opened. (no need for ADR) but my husband are pretty flexible. If one would say they were full we would go to another.

Last year, we went for valentines day. More crowds but nothing crazy.

I would recommand going in feb!

Worst weather we've ever had at Diseny. COLD. Like high 30s and low 40s at night with some rain. Mid 60s in the day. We were there once during Valentine's and the 4 days after and decided never again.

Over the last 20 years we have planned our yearly WDW vacations to take place either the last two weeks of January or the first two weeks of February (we'd buy AP's and use two weeks in Feb then two weeks in Jan.) The weather can be completely different from year to year, but overall we've found temps that hover in the high 60's to low 70's during the day. Crowds have increased year by year to the point that there doesn't seem to be a slow period at WDW. 20 years ago, crowds were non-existant through January and the first two weeks of February, but over the last few years, we've noticed it much busier. Lately, since our girls are now high school and college age, we've had to push back our vacations to Presidents Week which can be crazy busy...but the parks have extended hours, and when the temps start to dip as night rolls around, so do the crowds. February of 2010 will go down as probably the coldest we've ever experienced in Florida. Sweatshirts by day and an added layer in the evening were the norm. The southeast in general was much colder this past winter. Personally, I generally prefer the dryness of the winter months over the humidity of the rest of the year, but the trade off is the lack of foliage during the cold months. I would suggest giving it a try, if not for anything other than a change...you might like it.

Light crowds, shorter park hours. You can hit everything you want to ride without long waits. The weather is unpredictable. Coming from Canada we've been comfortable more often than not, but on rare occasions it's actually been colder in Florida than it was at home!

Be prepared for cold or hot.

Depends where you are from, I guess. Our schools break the week of President's Day.

It looks like the Princess Half Marathon is the weekend after President's Day, so you should be OK crowdwise. Weather is very unpredictable that time of year. We've had everything from the 30's at night to high 70's during the day. We end up packing a little of everything.

Right, I understand! We're coming from the Oregon coast, where it rains nonstop all winter and is miserable. Even a respite from the rain will be welcome, even if the temps are low. I've looked at the calendar as far as park hours go, and they are shorter disbursed with longer, so a little bit of both. Not bad!

Very good question, I am very interested in the answers as we plan our next trip to be in February or similar, because we never ever want to go during the present hot and humid weather again. No more summers at WDW.

We have been there the last four years in late February. We LOVE it!! Three out of the four years the weather was great, (lows in the 50's and highs in the 70's) even had a couple of days in the 80's. We have had opportunities to swim each trip. Last year was the coolest by far, but not untolerable. Park crowds are light unless you are there during Mardi Gras.(Seems like the whole state of Louisiana was there) Pack for temps from 30's to 80's. As far as events are concerned, ESPN The Weekend is usually late February at DHS. Have a great time!!

I was there in 08 we tent camped at FW it got down to 32 one night. The weather is cooler at night and the crowds are low until presidents day when the rates go up and so do the crowds.

We were there February 2010 and the nights are very cold and standing in line at rope drop most mornings were very cold. It would warm into the 60s. Bring a hat, gloves and layers. Other then the cold, the weather was clear and crowds manageable and a few attractions were down for refurbishment.
