Disney handled the situation very well, they gave them replacement clothes and assited them with the rest of their stay. Disney certainly didnt have to do this, Im sure she was not going to cause any problems, but what if she and Peter wers seen making out under the Tree of Life...last thing a 6 year old girl needs to see is Tink with Peters hands all over her.

I guess it's because I'm a guy, but I've never had a problem when walking through the parks in my Tinker Bell outfit. Oh, I can recall the many days of merriment as I strolled through the parks, waving my wand and throwing handfuls of glitter at the guests. Later in the day, I would set-up a rope between Peter Pan's Flight and It's A Small World in order to take my magical flight across the walkway while shouting, "Look at me! I'm a special person!"

Yes, the Magic is still alive, if you happen to be a middle-aged guy dressed like a cartoon pixie. Eat your heart out, do-anything-you-want-'cause-you-want-to teen princess.

Is my post nearly as silly as the arguments on this thread?

Well there goes my idea to dress up like Captain Hook later this year. I've been growing this dang handlebar mustache for 8 months! I guess I could still find some sort of old timey bare knuckle fight club.

Dx death. this is hilarious

but i agree with the park officials, if she looks convincing, then it's definitely an issue.

but i mean to make a big fuss over it is ridiculous, i mean it's not an irrational rule.

This whole story has made my day.... that plus some of the posts here are truly classic.

What gets me is the attitude of some people who design Disney as their own creation and feel they can do whatever they want in the spirit of imagination, whimsy and escape from reality. I, too, wish to do all of these things when I visit. I can do them without dressing up like a character, and I can do them without causing a problem to other people in the park who wish to escape from their problems.

If it can be a distraction, and if it can be a problem, then your 'rights' end if it infringes on the ability of the company to run its business in a manner which it clearly states.

then your 'rights' end
...and that's assuming you had any 'rights' to begin with. When most people talk about "rights", they usually mean as conveyed by the Bill of Rights, but those only place requirements on the government, not private entities. Disney is a private corporation. WDW is privately-owned property. They can bar anyone entry for any reason, so long as they do not run afoul of anti-discrimination law, etc. And, as far as I know "dresses like Tinkerbell" is not a protected class.

Exactly! For anyone thinking otherwise please send me your home address and I will come in your home, take your TV and bid you a good day. Oh, wait. I have no right to do that...that is your personal property. Same thing. People confuse the government with private entities all of the time.

Sadly, America is sue-happy and our justice system is completely screwed up. I've read stories about burglars breaking into someone's home. The owner hits the burglar, or knocks them out with a frying pan. The burglar then sues the owner for assault and wins.:veryconfu

I need to become a premium member on the board. Clearly, it gives members free reign to insult whoever they want, say whatever they want and have no repercussions.

They ruined my dreams. I just wanted to be Tinkerbell.. If you are 15, and your dream is to be Tinkerbell, you have bigger issues LOL...

It is policy... end of story.. I agree with park officials on that one...

LOL!! That is the funniest reply I have read in a long time. Thank you

So we can only insult and threaten physical violence against 15 year olds that dont use the board.

I could absolutely see that if my daughters had seen her in the park, they would have insisted on a picture with her.
