I'll start doing some research then.

First, we should probably solidify the theme for our celebration. Does anyone have any ideas? Unless I've already entirely missed that discussion.
We have not come up with an overall theme yet, no. I agree that it is a good idea to establish that sooner than later so everyone can know what to build off of!

Any thoughts?

I think there should be an emphasis on the plurality between Disneyland Park and the Studios Park. Although I like the concept of a Yesterday / Tomorrow / Fantasy model, I think it would come out distracting for the Studios, which don't have any yesterday or fantasy.

Going off of @montydysquith-navarro 's amazing logos, I would imagine Disneyland Paris having lots of maroon banners and Studios having lots of blue banners, both around the park and as a general pallet for the entertainment venues. I would also imagine there'd be some flyer everyone gets with one side Disneyland Paris and the list of things happening in celeberation of the 30th and another for Studios and the lsit of things happening in celeberation of the 20th.

They barely have a tomorrow with the way attendance has been.

Storytelling could work really well, but we’d need a proper hook for it. Something like New Stories Everyday, or The Story’s Just Starting. I dunno.

How about Storytelling? Discoveryland is all about the stories by Jules Verne, Adventureland is about adventure stories, and fantasyland is self explanatory. Walt Disney Studios Park also explores storytelling within movies.
Storytelling definitely covers both sides! Allows us to expand on the movie side for studios (and incorporate it into the lagoon show) easily.

Allows y'all to expand Discoveryland with more Verne and a parade with storytelling is easy.

Maybe something like “Live Your Story” where the celebration is all about putting the guests inside their favorite settings. Walt Disney Studios Park is soon to get Frozen Land and Galaxy’s Edge so that ties into that with the immersive environments.

A recap for the day:

We decided on the park(s): Disneyland Paris Resort!

(Thanks to Monty for these great logos!!)

For the overall theme, I think we are leading towards a storytelling theme. Some possibilities include:

  • The Story’s Just Starting
  • Live Your Story
  • New Stories Every Day

Work Split up

@goofyyukyukyuk17 and @NigelChanning09 both expressed interest to work on a parade.

@Sharon&Susan @DashHaber and @JokersWild all expressed interest to work on the land expansions. I would prefer only the three work on the expansions due to Mickeyfan explaining how this prompt was more entertainment-focused. If someone has a case on why the team should be expanded, I am all ears!

Would we be limited to one role only, or can we double up on roles (say, I want to work on WDSP's expansion but I also want to work on the parks' nighttime shows as well)? If we're allowed to do the latter, I can't see why we can't expand the expansion/enhancements group especially the WDSP's expansions (Arendelle, the lakeside area, and Garden Street, U.S.A./Sunset Boulevard) being the main anchor for the park's 20th.

Also, forgot to mention this, but Disney Village (Paris' equivalent of Downtown Disney/Disney Springs/Ikspiari/Disneytown) had some programming as well for the 25th. I think they had a small stage set-up for Disney Village Celebrations and some food stalls as well. The Frozen Celebration this year introduced Magic Over Lake Disney, which is basically a free fireworks and multimedia show (not World of Color-level though, but it's a start I guess).

I feel like the New Stories Every Day idea might set expectations that are a little too high if that makes sense? I like Live Your Story
I definitely agree that New Stories Everyday is the weakest of the three. Personally I like The Story’s Just Starting the best since it seems more like a celebration tag line. Live Your Story is great, but it feels more like Year of a Million Dreams, and less like an anniversary celebration.

That’s true... I’d like a more anniversary theme, but I feel like The Story’s Just Starting makes more sense for an earlier anniversary than 30... but I’m not too firm on that. I’ll try to come up with another anniversary style theme!

Please do! The only rebuttal that I have to your point is that Disneyland Paris is in the middle of a resort-wide refresh after years of neglect and middling attendance. Very fitting for a resort in rebirth.
