At the very least with Splatoon, we'd already have merch store ideas available. An obvious choice would be Zelda. But like Jokers said, Nintendo has so many great IPs that aren’t Mario, Zelda, or Pokémon. Pikmin would be cool. Animal Crossing would be popular. Heck, even Splatoon would bring in a crowd.
Splatoon could be a smart choice with how Nintendo's clearly positioning it as one of its mainstream franchises (which I can see happening in the next few games kinda like what happened with New Horizons). An obvious choice would be Zelda. It definitely has a large fanbase. And with the new game, it’ll only grow.I’m genuinely curious because I’ve never played Animal Crossing... was it like actually popular before the new game was released? I don’t really remember many people talking about it before the new one
Oh, yeah. Ever since the first game came out on the Gamecube, folks have liked the chill atmosphere and fun town aesthetic of the games. They may not be high-end adventures, but they definitely have an audience.I’m genuinely curious because I’ve never played Animal Crossing... was it like actually popular before the new game was released? The handheld entries sold big numbers before (though it was a lot slower than NH), but I'd say the lockdown caused it to really explode to the mainstream.I’m genuinely curious because I’ve never played Animal Crossing... was it like actually popular before the new game was released? I’d like to work on it as well as DC! So, I guess you can add me onto the Board Game PM and whoever’s heading up DC IslandI think I’m heading up the board games? So let me know if you want to work on it!
I think we’re trying to have people working on only one land, at least based on what outbound said... idk if that’s what we’re still wanting to go with or not lolI’d like to work on it as well as DC! So, I guess you can add me onto the Board Game PM and whoever’s heading up DC Island
Understandable. If that plan doesn’t work out, I’m super stoked about both ideas. For now, I’ll work on DC.I think we’re trying to have people working on only one land, at least based on what outbound said... idk if that’s what we’re still wanting to go with or not lol
I think with just the number of people we have working on only one land makes it even out better as well!I think we’re trying to have people working on only one land, at least based on what outbound said... idk if that’s what we’re still wanting to go with or not lol
Is Jokers the PM of DC Island? I’m pretty sure we said each island has a PM that reports to the main PM.I'll go with Outbound's model, each mini team has three members with their own PM (as we'd all get pretty lost if everyone brainstormed in this one thread). I won't get too specific here with the exact roles, so just reply what team you want to be on:
DC Island
1. @NigelChanning09
2. (I assume) @JokersWild
3.
Boardgame Island:
1. @goofyyukyukyuk17
2.
3.
Undecided Island (Bond, Nintendo, Ghibli Capcom etc.)
1.
2.
3.
As the team leader I'll work with each of the teams. None of this is final.
