Team Orbis Brainstorming Thread - Project Three: Animation Domination

Maybe @gam3rprincess can take up the wrap-up as well, so that our workload is evenly distributed per person (2 sections each)?

For now, I can take the queue and ride system/ride vehicle sections, since those are kind of set in stone already. I do have apprehensions about the "history of cinema" suggestion for the former since it would be similar to Disneyland's queue for Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway. I believe the queue for that attraction is described as "an exhibit from the Toontown Hysterical Society, where they show movie props" or something similar. I'll try to come up with something else.

I can do that!

@gam3rprincess I know in the past you've liked doing art, did you want to try your hand at some cartoony drawing here too? Or focus more on writing?

I didn't know that about Disneyland's plan. I'm cool if you want to try to brainstorm something else. My only preference is to try to keep some kind of edutainment aspect since that was a key part of Animaniacs for some of their most iconic bits and something that is tougher to blend into the ride itself.

I can try...??? But with this being heavy scenery and people based I am not gonna be able to do much unless you want stick figures.

@gam3rprincess that leaves the intro and wrap up and the facade (unless @montydysquith-navarro wanted to do that with the queue or @AceAstro wanted to do that while describing how it fits into the park) if you want to do any of that. I'm also totally cool if you want to take over the pre-show or the third act. And we could use as much art as we can get. I also remember you performing a song before back in Sorcerer's Apprentice if you wanna try something more out there.

I can do the writings for those 3, how detailed do we want them sense we are writing the whole ride-through. I can also try and work on some art but I do iconogrophy more than people or landscapes so I don't know how much I can do for real.

I drew some art for the studio (I labeled it as Uniweasel Studios)

That looks amazing!

I was thinking about ideas for the four scenes. Should they be real life film with the Animaniacs animated in? Or animated versions of the real thing? I’m not sure which way I like better so would love a different opinion!

I think real life with them animated in personally. But I could easily see it working well either way

Alright, Intro, Facade, and a wrap up! They don't have to be super detailed. For use with a video presentation it is about saying as much as you can with as few words as you can. If you do want to try branching out and draw something different, go for it! If not, no worries!

Pre-Show

Guests Board the elevators (Which are real elevators taking guests down to the ground level, but the pre-show goes longer than the elevator is in motion) and see video screens where the plot of the ride is introduced. A man in fancy clothes with a pretentious look on his face is seen.

"Good Evening. My name is Ron Tueger. Creator of such films as Endless Sadness, Eternal Sadness, and the Award Winning Even More Sadness. And I am here today to introduce you to my newest cinematic masterpiece. Baloney: The Movie."

1591841312370.png

"I plan to make this the perfect kids movie. Built from the ground up for the soft, gooey, undeveloped, unsophisticated minds of children. With no possible controversial or overstimulating aspect that could upset the children such as: violence, songs, jokes, excess merriment, realism, fantasy..."

The camera pans over to see the Warners listening from their water tower.

Dot: "We're gonna lose out audience."

Yakko: "I'm gonna lose my lunch"

Wakko: "He needs help."

The Animaniacs hop down and decide to introduce themselves to Ron.

Yakko: "Hey there, pal. Nice to meet ya. We're the Animaniacs. That's Dot, she's cute. I'm Yakko, I yak. Wakko packs away the snacks while Bill Clinton plays the sax.
Wakko: "Though you probably knew that already if you've listened to theme song.
Yakko: " That reminds me, we haven't really spent much time outside the water tower since the late 90s, is Bill Clinton still president?"
Dot: "I hope so, him and Monica made such a cute couple!"
Ron Tueger: "I beg your pardon..."
Wakko: "No need to beg, we're pretty accommodating all things considered."
Dot: "Level with me, Mr. Director Guy. In the last 20 years, has Jared Letto become crazy stunning or stunningly crazy? Cuz I had a feeling it could go either way."
Ron Tueger: "Will you please be silent! I am trying to take these people on a tour of the set for my new kid's movie and the last thing I want is a bunch of children ruining it!"
Yakko: "Yeesh, tough crowd. Don't worry, we'll stay silent."
Dot "Quiet as a church mouse."
Wakko: "I thought the mice were at that other park?"
Yakko: "We promise, Mr. Tugger. You won't even notice we're here."
Ron Tueger: "It's Tueger. And somehow I doubt that."

The Warners walk off camera and the director turns back to talk to the guests

Ron Tueger "Folks, we should be starting our tour shortly. if you would please watch this safety video before we begin."
Dot pops in: “Don’t worry! This will be shorter than Conan’s tenure as the Tonight Show host!”

A short safety video plays. It features a Goofus and Gallant style montage with Pinky and the Brain. In an inversion of the trope, Pinky follows all the rules despite being a dummy and Brain foolishly assume he knows better than everyone and always winds up with slapstick justice. After the video, the Elevator doors open and guests head to the loading station.

“This elevator is smaller than the Shamu tank at SeaWorld!”
Added that in and made the video for the Pre-Show!

It takes roughly an hour a minute for the video at the pace I went tonight. Which is admittedly a more casual pace and involved a quick snack break and downloading the fonts I want and listening to Rubberninja's Mario Maker livestream while doing it. But still, the point is the video takes time. But I think it adds a lot of energy to it. Especially if we can splice in more movie clips and animaniacs clips. Act 3 I'm picturing full of references, so much of that ride through segment will probably mostly be old clips.

So, definitely everyone should try to have as much as possible done as early as possible!

That is amazing!! My only critique (maybe I am a slow reader) is just slowing the text down slightly. I found I had to read fast or pause in some points. Other than that, I am absolutely in love with it!
