After reading this from a computer, I vote we organize the shows by not necessarily the genre, but the message it sends across. Our ride can focus on the importance of theater.

Hamilton and Les Mis - fight to make a difference
Phantom and Brigadoon - love results in crazy things
Grease and maybe Mormon (irdk) - sometimes change is good

I think that for an overarching story, (it is similar to the Golden Mickeys) an intern at _____ Theater is forced into guiding the tour... Even though he/she doesn't know much about Broadway. The characters help her to find herself, and embrace what Broadway is about, and then, the intern is the "one sensation", which is performed by all of the characters from the other musicals, wearing a gold version of their outfits.

I like that! And our other human performers can be "guest guides" so to speak that walk us through the different sections talking about their part of theater.

A soldier from Hamilton discussing the importance of rebellion from the norm in theater and how it encourages people to break the mold, stand out, and be themselves. Theater is a place for everyone. A place where "even orphan, immigrants can make a difference."

Have someone give a speech like that I'm each section about that there's importance to theater and the effect it can have teaching the Intern and us that theater is much more than just good songs and cool costumes. It's important. It means something.

Try to give this ride some of the weight of a classic Epcot ride

If we go that route then it needs to be the defining musicals of each generation.

I like these approaches a lot. Certainly a departure from the original, but something that I think will unquestionably help this attraction stand on its own. :)

This is something that I would not mind stepping up for, however, others seem to have a bit more interest. However, should nobody else want to, I will gladly fill the role.

Going further on this
Into the Woods, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, and Mormon: Actions have consequence
An entire romance medley would be amazing because there are so many fabulous Broadway love songs and yes this is somewhat an excuse to fit Beauty and the Beast in.
Same with a rebellion medley that leads into a Hamilton/Les Mis scene.

Finally got a job. Yayy adulting (help meeeee). I will do my best to stay afloat and help the team succeed. For now, I'll go ahead and finish the Hamilton scene artwork as well as come up with a vehicle design.

For the RV design I was thinking a set of eight theater seats (2x4) on an LPS base that travels in a group of 6 (48 per group), with one more guide base, that is set up differently. Can work on a rough sketch for the guide vehicle. Was thinking of having it be standing in front of a lectern- Esque control board (so CM can dispatch themselves). Also for Hamilton, are you thinking of doing the basic Hamilton set, but with a (literal) fourth wall?

A sketch for the vehicle would help tremendously. For Hamilton, I was thinking of having the vehicle travel up a ramp and directly through the stage, which would be an exact replica, yes. A literal fourth wall is a good way of putting it.

I have a crazy idea. In Hamilton, one of the more unique elements of the show is the fact that the center of the stage features of a rotation platform. What if we have the ride system be trackless, and when the vehicle enters the "My Shot" scene onstage, they start rotating around Hamilton himself, who is at the center of the stage. The ride system would be an extension of Pooh's Hunny Hunt and Mystic Manor, which have already achieved this specific motion.

That's a great idea. And if we do a "romantic" scene like @mickeyfan5534 suggested (Beauty and the Beast?) perhaps we could have the cars "dance" around the room?

As long as it's trackless, do we want to consider multiple different show scenes? All the guests could see the same certain "big" scenes (Hamilton, Book of Mormon) but at various points go off into separate rooms showing off different show scenes. Kind of a different ride each time sort of thing. Or am I over-complicating it?

Definitely not over-complicating it in my opinion. We could pitch a Star Tours style matrix with each vehicle effectively splitting up at some point at random. Let's see what the rest of the group thinks though.

I really like this idea.

With having ten host follow the group, my concern would be about that getting really confusing. If we use trackless (as I had suggested earlier), then we can not have ramp.

I would say no to the idea of Diverging paths. While cool for the viewer, it is far less practical especially with our project using live actors. Does having the ride be track less rally affect the experience too much? Especially if we can not do certain things (like the ramp which i am still kinda confused about) i do not think it is worth it.
