Batman is the hero of Gotham - the mysterious vigilante who took down organized crime and bureaucratic corruption with the entire city against him. Now, the only people who stand against him are the lunatics who commit "crime for crime's sake." The Joker is the latest madman to wage war against Gotham's well-being. He has recruited an army of Gotham’s worst criminals/madmen to do this. But in order to accomplish his goal, he struck Gotham where it would hurt the most - the pier. Gotham Pier is a major tourist attraction, with fun rides for families. Lately, it has been going under extensive renovations for new rides, courtesy of Mr. Jay Kerz. But - Mr. Jay Kerz is actually the Joker in disguise, and his carnival rides are revealed to be death traps, designed for human suffering. Will Batman defeat the Joker, find out in this land

THE JOKER – Previously Green Lantern: First Flight, this "Free Spin Coaster" receives minor upgrades in order to make a smoother track and update the color scheme to match the light green and purple that define Batman's nemesis. This ride is given small queue refurbishments so that guests go through the Joker's fun house before boarding.

CATWOMAN'S ESCAPE - Previously known as Flash: Speed Force, this "music express" ride (where guests ride in cars and spin around in a circle) is themed to Batman's sometimes lover, and always rival. As you spin around, police sirens and other noises are added to make guests feel the fear of getting caught.

SCARECROW: VERTIGO - Previously Wonder Woman: Lasso of Truth, this "round up" ride spins guest really fast in a circle, while centripetal force holds them against the wall. As guests spin, smoke appears (which symbolizes Scarecrow's weapon of choice - fear gas).

MR FREEZE'S LAB- Themed to Batman's ice-themed villain, this restaurant is replacing Teen Titans: Pizzeria and will be set in a futuristic laboratory. Pizza will still be served.

BATMAN: WAR FOR GOTHAM - Join Commissioner Gordon's task force to aid Batman in the reconquering of Gotham Pier in Six Flag's newest Virtual Reality experience. In the ride zoom through the Gotham pier while you watch Batman fight his worst enemies like the Joker, Two-Face, Mr. Freeze, and Bane. The queue is also remodeled to resemble the Gotham police headquarters, while the exit line now resembles the Batcave.
Looks great, Kevin! It's exactly the amount of content needed. The only change I'd make is to clarify how War for Gotham is an improvement on the existing Batman: The Ride, with a mention of the ride type and manufacturer (coaster nerd stuff):

The Justice League of America spends all of their time saving the world from threats. From Darkseid, the alien conqueror, to Vandal Savage, the immortal warlord, they have faced off against all types of villains. It is time that they get a rest too… Right? In order to honor the superheros, the Metropolis government has set up the “Festival of Heroes,” just outside of the Hall of Justice - the Justice League headquarters, which is located in Metropolis as opposed to its comic/television show counterpart of Washington D.C. With fun rides and meet and greets, everyone can join in on the fun of the “Festival of Heroes,” as all superheroes will be hosting fun games.

JUSTICE LEAGUE: BATTLE FOR METROPOLIS - No change, still battle against Lex Luthor and the Joker's team up in order to save Metropolis.

GREEN LANTERN: THE FURY OF ATROCOTIS - The Red Lantern Corps, led by Atrocitus, are invading Earth! Fueled by their rage, they want to take over the planet which the Green Lantern's value so much. Thus, Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern of Sector 2187, has come to save the day by recruiting guests to fly around in the park's nicest standing coaster. Elements from Green Lantern: First Flight's queue are moved here, and several other set-pieces are added to queue. Ride the attraction at night to see the skylights in green and red for a better experience. Replaces The Riddler's Revenge.

GREEN ARROW: FROM LIAN YU - Before he was everyone's favorite archer (Yeah, you heard me, Hawkeye!), Oliver Queen was stranded on the deserted island of Lian Yu for five years where he learned the skills that he needed to survive. Zoom around this natural wonderland in this family-friendly coaster, which is a renovated version of Gold Rusher.

PLASTIC MAN'S SPINNER replaces Scrambler, and is now themed around everyone's favorite elastic hero. Minor upgrades in recoloring the ride.

JUSTICE LEAGUE CARTS - Bumper cars are repainted to match the Justice League.

TIDAL WAVE - Props of Queen Mera of Atlantis are added to the queue.
I might touch up the Green Lantern description similarly in a little bit.

Only other note: Tidal Wave is going bye-bye (it's basically dead already). That location is the Flashpoint queue, station and initial show building now.

And hooray on both Plastic Man and the little swipe at Hawkeye!

GREEN LANTERN: THE FURY OF ATROCOTIS - The Red Lantern Corps, led by Atrocitus, are invading Earth! Save the day alongside Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern of Sector 2187, in this retheme of The Riddler's Revenge B&M standing coaster. Elements from Green Lantern: First Flight's queue are moved here, and several other set-pieces are added to queue. Ride the attraction at night to see the skylights in green and red for a better experience.

Edited slightly for length and clarity. Hope you don't mind. :p

Am presently beginning artwork elements for Escape from Krypton. Hope to do some for Flashpoint too.

OLYMPIC REALMS

Atlantis and Themyscira are both in time periods of peace. The cities have been able to welcome visitors from the normal, surface world into their previously secretive nations under the wise leadership of King Orin of Atlantis (the Aquaman) and Queen Diana (Themyscira). Suddenly, war! Old nemesis's have returned as Ares, god of war leads an army onto the peaceful island, and the Black Manta takes his revenge against Atlantis. Luckily for these mythical lands, they are no longer alone - we, the people of Earth can help them, in their wars against the mythic forces of evil.

WONDER WOMAN: GOD OF WAR - A small update to Apocolypse, this upgraded CGI wooden coaster weaves through the beautiful wildlife of Wonder Woman's paradise, which is currently aflame thanks to Ares' forces. Small updates in the queue also to being guests through the armory on Themyscira.

AQUAMAN: ATLANTEAN INVASION - A small upgrade to the Jet Stream log flume which adds a couple of scenic pieces that resemble the famous underwater, Greek city of Atlantis. The queue is rerouted to be in the Olympic Realm, and features a large Aquaman robot, like the Cyborg bot in the JL:BFM queue.

SPECIAL AIR SERVICE TRAINING - The queue is rethemed to an allied World War One base. In these surcharge rides, which are upgrades to Sling Shot and Dive Devil, guests can bungee jump and be slung into the air to become an honorary member of Steve Trevor's band of soldiers. Guests who complete both will be honored with a special pin.

JUSTICE LEAGUE RACERS - Ride in carts that resemble your favorite heroes of the Justice League in this attraction, which is simply a repaint of the surcharge go-cart attraction Cyclone 500.

A couple of extremely minor edits, once again just adding manufacturer coaster info. This stuff looks great!
I've got about 2 hours of calculus homework that I've procrastinated, so I'll be back after that :)
Not to go on a tangent, but I find calculus derivative. ;) And no worries at all, homework is important. Your help in these challenges is greatly appreciated.

It's quiet around here. I suspect things will get wilder over the weekend. But I'm here to shatter that silence NOW with a completed draft of our first coaster write-up! It's intended for the slideshow format, with the images like a storyboard (and smaller than they appear here). While I hope to color in the main concept art, most of the other sketches might remain B&W time depending.

ESCAPE FROM KRYPTON
Superman Summit’s centerpiece is the all-new strata coaster Escape from Krypton. It replaces the aging, outdated Escape from Krypton shuttle coaster – a launched out-and-back novelty – will a full-circuit ride in the style of Top Thrill Dragster or Kingda Ka.

The original Escape from Krypton suggests more than it delivers. Its name promises a themed Superman experience – of young Kal-El’s rocket escape from a dying Krypton – which was beyond Six Flags’ abilities. Its ride design approaches world-class thrills, while falling just short.

Now both shortcomings are overcome! This is a themed, physical Superman experience only Disney can deliver. The thrills pack a true punch too! Escape from Krypton breaks several world records, from tallest inversion (at a whopping 420 feet) to tallest drop (436 feet, down into the ground). And unlike similar strata coasters, which come to an end immediately after their first drop, Escape from Krypton doubles the ride experience with a thrilling out-of-control coaster course through Superman’s icy Arctic world!

enhance

Every traditional strata coaster element is fully-themed. The launch track is enclosed, immersing guests on Krypton. The 425-foot-tall tower is a full-scale replica of Lex Luthor’s LexCorp skyscraper, which doubles as the showbuilding for a revamped Lex Luthor: Drop of Doom. The return trip rockets trains past the Fortress of Solitude queue structure. This icy fortress, Superman’s frozen headquarters, is the start of the experience.

Escape from Krypton on-ride video. Theming and setpieces not depicted.

ESCAPE FROM KRYPTON RIDE STATS
Type – Launched Strata Coaster
Manufacturer – Intamin
Launch system – Hydraulic
Height – 420 ft
Drop – 436 ft
Length – 5,020 ft
Speed: 120 mph
Inversions: 3
Duration: 1:37
Capacity: 1,600 riders/hour
Height restriction: 54”

enhance

Queueing within the Fortress of Solitute. Artifacts from Superman’s history include a crystal statue of his parents Jor-El and Lara. Microchip holograms project onto crystalline walls, explaining that guests are about to experience a hologram recreation of Krypton’s demise, something physically indistinguishable from the real event.

enhance

Guests pass through multicolored ice tunnels as the hologram takes effect.

They are upon the planet Krypton on the day of its demise. An extended preshow occurs within the Council of Krypton. The high elders (seen as eerie floating heads) accuse guests of heresy for predicting the planet’s death.

Jor-El, Superman’s father, overrides their verdict. He reveals a secret passageway to his labs (with windows overlooking the planet’s fiery devastation) explaining that guests must evacuate the planet or perish with his race.

enhance

Guests load onto rocket trains within Jor-El’s labs. Countdowns until planet’s end. Computer screens calculate escape velocity. Five cars sit four each (a never-implemented Kingda Ka upgrade), with two parallel loading platforms for improved throughput. Two trains load at once on each platform and follow a Y switchtrack down steel doorways.

enhance

Each train enters a separate control room. A projected Musion hologram of Jor-El appears before a window screen showing Krypton’s collapse. Setpieces within the room crumble in flames. Jor-El preps guests for launch – “Head back. Hold on tight. Make a better world than this.”

As the control room crumbles, a door opens and trains launch forward! (Staggered launches like on Kinga Ka mean this preprogrammed show scene lasts from 30 seconds to 1 minute depending on the train’s location.)

enhance

Trains rocket straight forward, accelerating up to 120 mph! Enclosed show scenes (projections and practical effects) depict Krypton’s surface exploding. Guests escape up a vertical ringed launch shaft!

enhance

The train rises vertically up 420’ feet indoors. Zooming past lights and starfields to simulate a voyage across the cosmos, complete with 5 G-forces felt by riders!

At the peak is a dive loop inversion, the world’s tallest! This carries guests outdoors through a flame tunnel. The physical experience simulates entry into Earth’s atmosphere.

enhance

The world’s tallest drop – 436 feet! Trains hurtle at 90 degrees down the side of the LexCorp tower towards a forest floor. Train plunge through the floor (the drop is greater than the ride’s height) through a tunnel simulating the rocket’s crash-landing.

enhance

A heartline roll leads to a mist tunnel transporting the train to the Arctic!

Tracks follow alien ice formations like a terrain coaster, straight into an Immelmann loop.

enhance

The train careens through the surreal Arctic wasteland. It rushes across an airtime hill and through an over-banked right turn. A series of increasingly-tight helices concludes the ride, rushing riders past dangerously close wintry spikes.

enhance

The train slows on a brake run through a tunnel of green Kryptonite.

Trains unload on a separate platform within the Fortress of Solitude. Jor-El appears projected within a crystal structure. He welcomes guests to their new home…Earth.

With the Escape from Krypton write-up pretty well underway, Team Magic Mountain actually has a lot of content already finished. The intro, budget, phase breakdown, plus the entirety of Phases 1 and 2. Only Phase 3 remains to be created, which primarily consists of the Central City entrance and the Flashpoint coaster.

Tomorrow I plan on populating our presentation slideshow with everything up through Phase 2. @kmbmw777, @IDInstitute, @Poe Dameron, are you guys (together or individually) able to handle creating the Phase 3 content? A little ahead of schedule, am I? I hope to help other teams on Sunday finalize their presentations, so I wanted to get a head start on this Magic Mountain stuff.

Escape from Krypton looks great @D Hindley! Unfortunately, I will not be of much help until Sunday night - I’m going out for dinner, ice cream with friends right now, tomorrow is state for Mathletes (6 am call time, get back at 7 pm) and after state we are welcoming my grandmother home (she just returned from a month in Iran). Then Sunday, I have a parade until 3.
Whatever is not done before that time, I can gladly take!

Busy weekend! Good luck, Spidey.

If the time crunch becomes pronounced, I'll try my hand at Flashpoint. Would still like other teammates to do it if at all possible.

Thank you both! Not expecting too much at state (we never do good, it's just fun to go and try! :) ), but friends are bringing a spikeball setup, so it'll be a fun day!

I could handle the type-ups of the land architecture definitely by Sunday (may even be able to do it on the bus tomorrow, although I will probably be sleeping),
