I know there probably isn't a tattoo place in the parks but maybe in DTD? Or does anyone know of a place reasonably close or accessible by cab that does tattoos? My boyfriend and I are visiting in January and we were curious because we would love to go get tattoos together, especially because he wants a Disney-related one!

Thanks in advance!

Also, sorry if this has been asked. I tried to search but it didn't help.

When I was a young man (quite few years ago now), my wife and I wanted to get a tatoo. We mentioned this to my sister one time and her comment changed our minds instantly. She worked in an elderly care facility and laughed at all the old ladies in their 80's and some 90's who had tatoos and how stupid and bad they looked. After a while the color faids and runs. Some tatoos have run so bad the are unrecognizable.

Now, I just think that a tatoo on a young lady and most men is just bad taste. If you plan on digging ditches all your life, they are fine. If you plan on having a career, a tatoo will have an affect on what that careere will be.

MY opinion foe what it is worth.

There is no place in Disney World that does Tattooing. But try:
Fallen Sparrow Tattoos
5049 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy
Kissimmee, FL

It's about 5 to 10 minutes from DTD.

That may be the case but it is their bodies to mess up. I don't agree with getting large tattoos but that is for me on my body. Tattooing goes back far, far into our past and it will continue to go far into our future. I plan on getting a smaller tattoo one day on my back right shoulder of Goofy. Actually an image of Goofy that I have on a mug of mine that I cannot seem to find anywhere else. But that is as far as I am willing to go.

You're right about the tattoos limiting a person ability to work in certain fields but not completely. We have another therapist here where I work that has full sleeves and she wears t-shirts some days. It is still a professional atmosphere but people are more tolerant of tattoos these days than they used to be.

I'm a white collar worker and have 13 tattoos.... and you'll never see them unless I want you to.

With the amount of people now getting inked, I think acceptance in the work place will become more the norm than you think.

Hold the train! OP didn't ask for our opinions on tattoos. She simply asked if there was any place around disney to get one.

If y'all want to debate the pro's and con's of tattoos go somehwere else. I've seen these threads before just turn into a long drawn out debates where both sides are butt hurt because the other side disagrees. Let's keep it civil.

Oh, and OP, sorry I can't 100% answer your questions. Pretty sure no place on property does it, but I'm sure somehwere in the surrounding area does.

Thank you! I will look into this place. It looks like a decent place upon first glance of the website.

Thank you for your opinion, but I have decided to get a tattoo. Thank you also for assuming that I have not considered all the consequences that getting a tattoo might have. I do intend to have a career, and I expect that my career can be whatever I choose it to be, whether or not I have ink in my skin. Not only is tattooing increasingly accepted in the workplace, there are many ways to conceal a tattoo, if it is not already concealed by clothing.

Hart and Huntington is in CityWalk, WAY overpriced and mostly flash art. I like custom stuff :)

Unless you want something "off the rack" I wouldn't recommend getting a tattoo on vacation. Usually you need a consultation before the appointment to make sure it can be done. You may want to research some good places online and then call and see what they think. Maybe you can email you ideas ahead of time.

H&H does some pretty awesome stuff at that shop, you just need to go in in advance and work out the design with an artist, like all tattoo shops.

I think all the negativity around tattoos (especially today) is just people's unwillingness to except something they themselves don't like, and feel they need to try and convince everyone else that their opinion is the right one. I view tattoos the same as photographs; sure they will fade over time but they are still a great memory and memento to have for the rest of your life.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that...preeeeeeetty much any tattoo parlor, if the artists are worth their salt, can do a Disney-related tattoo. I don't think getting one in or near WDW will make it any more better or more authentic or more legitimate.

I'm not questioning your desire to get a tattoo, I'm just saying that if you ask around your neighborhood with people who have ink, you'll probably get recommendations for at least a half dozen places within 20 minutes OF YOUR HOME who can do just as good a job making a Disney tattoo as someone in Orlando or Kissimmee. It will also give you some time for a consultation, make sure you're getting exactly what you really want...unless the vacation tattoo is a subliminal excuse to do it and do it fast before you have a chance to talk yourself out of it.

Oh no we are definitely not going to Disney solely to get a tattoo. It's more about when we will have time to go together because we're currently in a long distance relationship while I'm at school. Also, we already have to go out of state to get the tattoos because Pennsylvania has no real laws about tattoos and does not require a license for anybody who simply wants to be a tattoo artist. We are already looking to go elsewhere to a state that has more concrete laws, which I believe Florida does. What I want is fairly simple and small, as well as my boyfriend's so I don't think any very extensive consultation will be needed.

I know this is an old post, but next time you're ever in the area, OG Tattoos & Gallery just opened up in Novemeber of 2013.. He's an AMAZING artist and specializes in ALL styles of tattooing especially custom and cover ups. Check him out at www.ogtattoos.com... He's located across the premium outlets near Disney World and is the closest tattoo studio there. Very clean, very professional, and GREAT customer service! He's also an award winning artist! He also has an instagram where you can check out some of his stuff as well (ogtattoos).. Just for future reference! ;)
