I’m not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, but hearing strong rumours talking Mickey is leaving magic kingdom in the near future.
If only the Talking Mickey was more interactive and spoke in real time (Which is rare) instead of using random phrases. Back when Talking Mickey was play testing a Disneyland back in 2010. Guests were loving every moment of it.Sigh. That is all.
"Like to see a magic trick?"Guest: "Hi, Mickey! What do you think of Bob Iger's leadership?"
Mickey: "Let's take a picture together!"
Possibly a different park, it sure would be nice to finally bring Talking Mickey to Tokyo Disney Resort since Tokyo is the only Disney park that never gotten the moving heads. The most recent Asian Disney park that recently gotten them was Hong Kong for their show Mickey and the Wondrous Book.Like to another park, or they are just scraping the the technology?
Guest: "Hi, Mickey! What do you think of Bob Iger's leadership?"
Mickey: "Let's take a picture together!"
Followed by the weirdest awkward silence..."Like to see a magic trick?"
Or hearing the same thing when they tested Donald & Minnie into the mix at DCA...

The idea that Disney can't make more than one talking Mickey is laughable, how cheap are they?
Mute MickeyIndeed. I can easily imagine more talking Mickeys in other parks. But I see no reason to remove the talking Mickey from the one park where it makes the most sense to have him. Every time we've gone, the wait has been quite long, so there's clearly guest demand for meeting Mickey there. Moreover, if he were to leave Magic Kingdom, then what would become of that space? A mute Mickey? A different character? Certainly they wouldn't convert it back into a theater and use the space as originally intended.
(Cue the snarky comments saying that they'll drop Mickey and replace him with nothing to save money...)

Twitter?Hearing? From whom?
Strong rumors? What makes them 'strong'?
Leaving? To go elsewhere or to be mothballed?
Looking back at it. Minnie's 'voice' thought that the videographer was going to continue to engage her, and so she launched into a story about "going on a safari the other day", but, that intro got lost as the videographer started to talk to Donald and Donald's 'voice' reacted to the videographer talking over Minnie. So, once Donald stoppedtalkinggasping for breath, we were left suddenly in the middle of Minnie's spiel about lions roaring.
So, it seems that each character has their own vocalist choosing the routines and they, just like real people, can talk over each other. But, unlike real people, once a spiel is launched, it doesn't stop when it realizes it isn't being paid attention to.

No, not like that.
Mike and Crush are live voice actors and the animation matches their talking in real time (through either puppeting or a camera pointed at their face).
There is a Mickey that can do something like that with a voice modulator, but that Mickey only makes rare appearances. The stage Mickeys lip sync their dialogue while they move their fingers to operate their mouth and eyelids.
Town Hall Mickey is voiced by an operator who has a sophisticated voice tree (probably on a touch screen) that allows for the most anticipated questions and responses that are voiced at the touch of a button. The one in the costume is likely signaled in an earpiece as to what they're about to say and they do the miming. Some people have reported very in depth responses such as Mickey asking where you're from and in response to "New Jersey" says "What exit?". Or speaking the child's name or switching languages. Some have reported only the most basic canned responses. Probably a B-mode operator.
