Taking Online Surveys for $

I've been doing a little better as far as luck with surveys. I will post my results as soon as everything shows up in my account.
Anyways I had a question. I just took a survey on mysurvey.com. They asked me if I would be willing to try out a soap product that they will send to my house. Then after a few weeks take a survey on it. I chose yes and gave them my address, my question is.
Is it odd that I am sort of nervous about actually trying the product? Since I'm not sure what it is or where it's coming from it makes me a little nervous. I mean....it's got to be safe right?

You probably all think I am crazy now.

I have been doing awesome this week with Inbox Dollars and TreasureTrooper. 35$ and counting this week...:) :sohappy:

I wouldn't worry too much about the soap thing. Worse case scenario I think is that your skin might not react well to it, but I can't imagine it being extremely harmful. I did a trial of a new kind of tea...now that, on the other hand, was horrid. It tasted n a s t y!

I know whatcha mean! The food stuff I have had was from trusted brands, but the cat litter and razors I had no idea. Granted the cat litter did not effect me, just my cats! It turned out that it was all natural and a green product from a well trusted company. The razors I was worried about because I had to use two separate ones, each for a week, and I was worried I would end up looking like a horror movie with blood and bandages.... Actually, I stopped using the second razor before its time because it was irritating me so bad I could not stand it. And I noted this on my survey when it came time.

All that said to say this: if it causes irritation or problems then definitely stop using it. When you receive the soap just read thru the material and make sure there are no notices of any kind. The food products I tried warned of peanut butter alergies, etc. Hope this helps! Are they offering any cash incentive for this trial?

It actually did not say. It said they would send the product and after I use it for a few weeks I will take a survey about it. I am assuming they will email me a survey after a few weeks time. It was through Mysurvey, so hopefully it will have some extra points for it. If not, oh well, FREE SOAP!
LOL jk

Thanks Victoria for posting these sites. I looked Treasure Trooper up on the BBB site. Here is a link for anyone interested: http://chicago.bbb.org/WWWRoot/Report.aspx?site=46&bbb=0654&firm=88081552

Whereas it does not have any really bad remarks it does show that they are not listed with the BBB and since I am very leary of these sites anyway I will look it over carefully.

If you want to look up online businesses go to this BBB link http://search.bbb.org/ and go to the URL form at the bottom of the page and type in the site and see what comes up.

I am in no way saying that this site is bad or a scam. I just feel more comfortable with a BBB listing. tiggerific418 has had good luck with this site, so check with her if you have any questions.

I havent had any problems with them in the year I have been a member. The BBB thing is interesting, but there are thousands and thousands of TT members, so I guess 2 reports isn't too bad. It is odd that they aren't part of the BBB, but it doesn't really bother me I guess.

I agree 2 out of 10000 is really good. I was wondering the same about why not get acredited. I will look over the site tonight. Thanks again.

I have just been looking over it.
You get money for signing up for all the survey sites that we have already signed up for. So that is kind of a bummer since I already signed up for all of them prior to knowing about this site.
So far all I have seen is signing up for other sites to get money. Not sure how I feel about it.
I have not looked at any of their cash surveys yet so I don't know how those work. What types of things do you do tiggerific to receive rewards?

I have been doing awesome this week with Inbox Dollars

Just found this thread - very interesting! I was going to mention Inbox Dollars. I don't do any of the extra things (like free trials, surveys games, etc) that actually give the big money. I just open a few emails every day, literally takes seconds. In about 4 months time, from just opening emails (with the other things they offer, you can do a lot better), I have more than $20. Doesn't sound like much, but I literally spend about 15 seconds every day opening the emails. Every little bit helps.

Although they don't pay cash, I also participate in Harris Poll surveys (you've probably heard of them. Harris Interactive is one of, if not the, largest market research firm in the country). You register and put in some demographic data, and you'll get sent surveys which take a few minutes (for me, they always take less time than the suggested time).

Depending on how long the survey is, you get more points. The points can be exchanged for gift cards for restaurants and stores, or magazine subscriptions, small appliances. My sister, mom, and I have been doing it for about 3 years now, and have gotten at least $50 worth of gift cards each. I also have a George Foreman grill I got from them.

Sometimes I'll get 1 or 2 a week, sometimes I won't get any for a month. I haven't turned in my points in about 6 months, and I know I have a ton. I'm just hanging on to them to try and get to the highest tier. Just google "Harris Poll" to find it.

That is exactly what I do with Inbox Dollars too. I cant be bothered to do all the offers and such, but just opening the emails will earn a buck or two a week. Every little bit helps and it adds up after a while.

Another update:

Survey.......................$ Received......$ coming.........Working on
Survey Saavy..............$12.00...........$0..................$2 in account
My Survey..................$30.00...........$0.00............305/1000 points
Survey Spot...............$63.00...........$33.00............$30.00 +/- watching for
Your2Cents................$0.................$28.00............$ 0
Consumer Opinion........$0.................$11..................$0
Global Test Market.......$0.................$0..................755/1000 points
Opinion Outpost...........$0.................$16.70.................$4.50
Focus Forward ............$0.................$0.................$5
Totals_______________$105.00______$88.70_______$74.50 +/-

It has slowed down a bit and I am waiting on many of these checks to come in. It takes 4-6 weeks to get some of them. Focus Forward has been the biggest disappointment so far as I rarely get surveys and if I do, no qualifications. Since I have been on it, I have only earned $1 and supposedly another survey I took was for $4 but it has not shown up yet? Global Test Market has been going slow but I am almost at the 1000 point mark at which time I can redeem $50. I have been getting surveys but not qualifying so I only get 5 points each. Anyway just another update for anyone interested! I am looking into joining one or two more sites to see what I can stir up.

Oh you get $50 once you reach 1000 on Global? I thought it was $10. Mine has been going very slow as well. I just qualified for a 45 point survey on Global yesterday, so that was nice. I am at 185/1000 right now. It will go slow I am sure.

Thanks for the updates. I still have not had anything show up on Savvy or Survey Spot so I will wait to give my numbers. Survey Spot is not working out to be good for me like it has been for you. I still have received nothing regarding precast. Beginning to wonder if I downloaded it correctly.

sunshine rewards is (in my opinion) one of the best sites out there for this type of thing. you can do several surveys perday (if qualified). and the site has various ways of earning money.

there are offers/contest, lots of shopping online earn cash backs, surveys etc.

the best part is: one of the rewards is payout thru disney gift cards! love it. and sometimes they have them discounted. i cashed out for a $75 disney gift card and was charged only $72.

i know have over $100 in my account. i will probably end up paying full price for my next disney gift card, because my trip will probably come up before another special cash out comes along.

they do have a referral system there also.

if you would like to be referred, please just send me a pm and i will be happy to forward it to you.

Eagles - Thanks for the suggestion. I will have to check this out.

My updates as of Mid-February 2008:

MySurvey.com - 830/1000 pts.
Once I reach 1000 I will be redeeming for $10.00 Surveys are pretty frequent for about 10 pts each. I hit the big money with a 500 pt survey that I qualifed for. I also referred my mother for 150 pts.

SurveySpot.com - So far I have only qualified for one survey that was $3.00 I believe. Still waiting for it to show up in my account. I do several surveys here each day, but they are normally just for entries into their drawing.

SurveySavvy.com - Qualified for a $2.00 survey, still waiting for it show up. I have maybe received about 4 survey invites for this site since I began. Only qualified once.

GlobalTestMarket.com - 185/1000 pts.
I have probably received about 3 invites so far. But got most of the points from the screener surveys that you begin with. Just qualified for a 45 pt survey the other day.

Opinion Outpost - $4.50
I have received surveys from them frequently. I also signed up for this one much later then all the others. Out of about 10 surveys I have only qualified for one and it was for $4.50. The money showed up in my account immediately.

Your2Cents.com - $0
I have only received about 3 surveys from them. Have not qualified for any. When I signed up you take about 5 or 6 screeners and they say once you qualifiy for a survey they will give you an extra dollar for each of the screeners. Not sure if that is true since I still have not qualified.

Lightspeed Panel - $0
I just signed up for this one and just received an invite the other day. Did not qualify.

Consumer Opinion - $0
Have received 3 surveys, qualified for none.

As far as my favorites go, it would have to be MySurvey and Opinion Outpost. Even though mysurvey's don't give you tons of points, they at least give you something for every survey and the surveys are short. The points show up right away so you know where you stand at all times. Also for Opinion Outpost, I like how the money showed up immediately when I qualified. I have only qualified for one, but when I did qualify it was a nice amount of money. They also have sent the most surveys.

Hope to receive more and add to these sad totals. LOL.

Finally received a check from American Consumer Opinion!:sohappy: They apparently send you an individual check after you complete a survey. I got a $7 check in today and I am still waiting on a $4 check to come in. This site however does not post any info on surveys taken, processing of checks or anything.

Thanks for posting your results Shere_Khan! You have been on these sites about a month and a half. Correct? I believe it will pick up for you! I agree with you on MySurvey and Opinion Outpost - they both show immediate results on your surveys and they send a regular amount of surveys.

$112 towards Disney received thru surveys so far! We as a family have saved $355.05 since January for our trip thru these surveys, recycling aluminum cans, travel money from my work and $27.05 from the ING savings account. So that is close to $118 per month. (With 6 more months to go, if I keep on this savings rate 6 x $118 = $708 + $355 already saved = $1,063.00) This would be awesome so I hope it holds up. My goal was saving $800 before our trip thru these savings methods.

Good luck to all!

Just yesterday, after I posted my results, I recieved two more surveys from Opinion Outpost, I qualified for both, and now my account is at $9.00. Very exciting!

Keith - I've qualified for two light speed panel surveys since I last posted, each for 75 pts so now I have a total of 150 pts.
I was trying to look on their page and find out when you can redeem and for how much. I could not come up with it, have you found anything on that?
