i've heard from a lot of people that once the new T-Rex restaurant is up, they will get rid of the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney, and it sorta makes sense considering they seem like the same type of restaurant, well tell me what yall think

The Answer is no...T-Rex is on the other end of the Marketplace ajacent to McD's...This at least Boast 3 big restaurants not to far from each other...Rainforest....T-Rex....Planet Hollywood....And we can't forget Fultons and Raglan in that mix.

I have noo idea where you heard this information. It's not true. T-Rex (where it is going to be) used to be extra land. And Rainforest Cafe is on the other side (from reading the other people's replies).

Yeah, we're not that lucky for that to happen. It'd sure be nice, though, to have a new restaurant there with good food, and not a duplicate of an experience elsewhere on property. Heck, you know what, just bring Chef Mickey's back to that location!

Rainforest Cafe is an international franchise. A lot of people go to places that they recognise from home and Planet Hollywood, McDonalds, as well as Rainforest Cafe are these places.

nope, simply not true. they are building a different building for it. i higly doubt rainforest is going anywhere, its always crowded. also its all over the nation, which appeals to those who love it

All the resturants in DTD are really busy whenever i've been, so i can't see why they would shut it, when they can accomendate more people for full sit down meals and making a few $ in the process.

I really hope it's not true! I love the Rainforest Cafe! We used to have them here (in Britain) but I haven't seen one for ages! I was gutted when they all disappeared!

They are opening T-rex because the Rain Forest Cafe is very popular and you always have a wait to be seated. When T-rex opens that should bring the wait time down. Rain Forest Cafe attracts familys with young children. T-rex will most likely be popular with familys that have teen agers and the only place for teens is Planet Hollywood. I think this is going to be a great addition for Down Town Disney.

Definately still got one in Leicester Square.

As to the original discussion, I am pretty most definately sure the Rain Forest Cafe is not going anywhere soon.
