And is there any further info or pictures of the split tank? I was hoping to see more after the fact pics. What kinda semi-dedicated Disney-philes do we have down there???

="Voice of Disney sanity, post: 6001850, member: 89867"]Sources tell me the permanent repairs are completed. Althought a complete refurbishment of the entire restaurant is now scheduled for July to drain and wrap the rest of the tanks :D
I realize that's a joke, but before the usual runaway cynicism, keep in mind that this is Landry's. They probably have a real incentive to fix this thing as soon as possible so that they can better compete with the other restaurants out there.

Any guesses as to how long it will be before they will make proper repairs?

Yep, they do take care of their stuff. We have had a Rainforest up here for almost a couple decades and you'd never know it. Still looks new.

Nope, haven't heard. I guess it depends on how custom that tank was and how long it will take to ship it from where ever.

With as much publicity as this got, I would figure they would hope to have the repairs done quickly.

Oh my cod.

They probably will have a choice between repair or replace - wonder how long they'll mullet over?

Maybe they'll bring in a tank doctor or sturgeon for the repairs. I'm herring it will take weeks to repair.

Nice to hear that no soles were lost. I know in the past they would do an extra inspection just for the halibut.

The whole thing really appears to be a crappie situation.

Shark.

*50 Bonus points to the first person who can blame this on the monorail system.

The gravitational forces disturbed by the monorail caused gravitational shearing of the polymers in the tank, ultimately causing the rupture.

Lack of proper maintenance on the monorail system resluted in many people having to use their vehicles to park at DTD and take the bus instead. These people ended up eating at Trex and using their flash cameras resulting in a weakening of the epoxy seam holding the aquarium together.

The answer is simple. All these years I believed the bus driver when he told me that the monorail was going to be extended to Downtown Disney. The temper tantrums of thousands of Disney fans all at once realizing that it's all been a lie is why the aquarium exploded.

Their un-sympathetic vibrations if you will.

Someone definitely dropped the ball here. This would've been the perfect place to employ some corporate synergy (I know.....T-Rex is owned by Landry's) and show how that fiber tape stuff from Shark Tank is just what's needed to fix the T-Rex tank. It's waterproof! It's quick-sealing! :D
