Wow... ate there earlier today for lunch! Glad I wasn't in this mess.
I'm sorry, but I'm not buying the whole "I wasn't in this mess" spiel. Why is it that shortly before this incident occurred, you texted me this photo and said: "At DTD now...guess what I'm about to do!"

No sir. I'm not buying any excuse. And for the first time ever, Meg is probably blaming you!

This is crazy...we were seated right in front of this aquarium when we dined at T-Rex. Our server, the hostess and even the chef "gushed" (truth and pun intended) about the beautiful tank. Seriously, here's a pic from our table. Glad the fish are OK...and glad it didn't happen while we were sitting there.

So....the WDW haunted mansion DOESNT actually go up OR down?!
Do you want the...
Yes it does! The room is stretched by the ghost host and mystically releases you into a different corridor.
or the...
No it barely moves (if any). The ceiling and walls move up, but the floor stays still, and a door opens on the opposite side if the room from where you entered.

If the hydrolator ruptured, people would be standing in a puddle, but that's about it. There really wasn't much water surrounding those things for the FX, and they aren't in contact with any of the tank sections. I loved that load room - the ending of the film opening onto the load station was a very effective story sell-through.

That was the joke that I was making with posting the pic.

Actually, the stretching room at Disneyland (Anaheim) is an actual elevator. The one at WDW is sadly an illusion. ;)

You can see this all the time because the Mansion hosts frequently start the room with the door WIDE OPEN.

Can someone in the Company please print this and send it to managers throughout the MK?

I was told by a cast member that the room went down...
Sorry

You're lying. It would have been scarier than any one of us could imagine.

Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes....The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!

Who ya gonna call...

Oh my cod.

They probably will have a choice between repair or replace - wonder how long they'll mullet over?

Maybe they'll bring in a tank doctor or sturgeon for the repairs. I'm herring it will take weeks to repair.

Nice to hear that no soles were lost. I know in the past they would do an extra inspection just for the halibut.

The whole thing really appears to be a crappie situation.

Shark.

If the monorail had been expanded from Epcot to The Walt Disney World Village back in the mid-80's, modern Downtown Disney would have a slightly different layout, meaning T-Rex Cafe would have been built in a different location, meaning the building layout would differ slightly, so the interior design would be a bit different, thus the tank would be a slightly different design, and it would be in a different location in the dining room. Since it has a different design and different location in the dining room, it would be constructed slightly different, and it would be installed in a somewhat different manner, which would mean the seam of the tank would not separate as it did yesterday.

Obviously. :D
