The only thing with Bikini Bottom may be that it sort of falls under the same kid-centric umbrella as How to Train a Dragon
That sounds fair. A solid way to weed out through the ideas and figure something out.So since most of us are here except for @ThatGuyFromFlorida who mentioned they may not be active this round due to school, how about we all say our top 3 ideas and go from there. It can at least help us weed out the lesser ideas we’re not interested in pursuing. Once we have 3 or 4 ideas we can narrow it down from there.
My top 3 are
1. Lord of the Rings
2. Blade Runner
3. Bikini Bottom

I agree with @Sharon&Susan1. Star Trek

Heyyo! I'm not familiar with a lot of Universal IPs, or Epic Universe. So I've been doing a little bit of research about it.
What at first looks like a park with a collection of random IPs all connected by a garden in the middle, but when actually looking at it, it's much different. The "universes" are all mystical. A land with dragons, a land with fantastic beasts & magic, a land with monsters, and a land through Nintendo. They are all alternate realities in a way. All connected by this mystical gardens throughout the park. Looking at the concept art, it has this slight out of this world feel. It looks at first like a random IP selection, but once you look at it much further you actually see it's smartly laid out.
Therefore I think the new land needs to fit this mystical, new "universe" theme the park has.
Just by going through IPs that have been brought up, I suggest these sort of fit this theme of the park- Shrek, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings (never seen it , but from the way you guys talk about), Avatar all fit this theme. I worry doing something that is too realistic will break the theme of the park.
Looney Toons & Batman may be too similar to what's offered at Six Flags Parks, plus really don't fit the theme of the park. Spongebob already has a home in many theme parks around the country, it may be redundant.
Also, as a 17 year old boy, I can tell you that nobody my age knows what Lord of the Rings is. Its something that I know exists, but I do not know one person who has seen the movie. I don't know anything about it.
Do bad licensed games count?Just remember, unless there's been a pre-existing media crossover (a la Universal Monsters or Super Smash Bros for Nintendo) we'd like for only a single IP to be represented in your land.
Good point on these. Reflecting the three most iconic groups from Middle Earth would be a nice idea, and give some flow to the area. For instance, maybe starting off with Hobbiton to welcome visitors into the world of Middle Earth.Thinking about Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, there are some key locations in Middle Earth (where the series takes place) that I think could be used to create a really beautiful land. I think this could be accomplished without the use of Mordor and Sauron (and that would probably be best as an attraction anyways), but I think a really cool idea for the LotR land is to highlight the worlds of the three most important races in the series, which are hobbits, elves, and dwarves. By highlighting these three, I think we can tell a beautiful story that would automatically improve the park and highlight the epic nature of this franchise and the worlds within it.
The hobbits live in the Shire, and this is one of the most familiar and important locations in the entire franchise. The Shire is agricultural but not industrialized with hills and woods. It’s mostly made up of villages with a few larger towns.

Rivendell is home of the elves and is one of the most picturesque locations in Middle Earth. It is located in a hidden valley. I couldn’t find tons of info on this location, so it might be a cool opportunity for us to expand the world.

The final location is the Lonely Mountain or Erebor. It was the ancestral home of the Dwarf king and had a great mine. It also became home of the dragon Smaug, one of the primary antagonists of the Hobbit. It later became a Dwarf stronghold throughout the events of the Lord of the Rings.

Let me know what you guys think! I’ll try to do more research into Star Trek and Blade Runner soon to be able to talk at more length about them!

I vote for shrek. Nvm I changed my mind. I want bikini bottom. It could be indoors, and have a simulated elevator ride where you are in a submarine and going down to bikini bottom as the entrance. Also I think a battle for bikini bottom shooting ride would be sweet! And don’t forget the firey fist o pain!1. Star Trek
2. Lord of the Rings
3. Shrek
