Swap a country...

Easy question. World Showcase is looking to swap a country. Drop one. Add another. Which should go. What should come in?

Also, the new country would need an attraction. What should it be?


I would like Morocco to go and Egypt to come in.
A "Sorin'" type attraction over Egypt would be cool. Valley of the Dead. Sphinx. De-Nile.

If they could only import "The Mummy" from Universal...

I would not mind Morocco for Egypt. However, I would prefer a boat ride down the nile.

How about this. We put Egypt next to Greece and have them share a boat ride attraction that highlights the seven wonders of the ancient world? The only problem, geographically, is the hanging gardens.

Lose Mexico. It's the least interesting to me. Replace it with Brazil, the Amazon would make a pretty awesome boat ride.

I would not mind losing Morocco but I think my DH, among others, would be disappointed in losing Mo Rockin' - more specifically the belly dancer!

I think that they should include Ireland in the UK pavilion. Or at least add more Irish items.
I also feel that they should have at least 1 country from each continent.

Wow, no love for Morocco. We actually took the time to walk around this pavilion last trip - and it is stunning. It would be a crime to waste all that beautiful tilework.

Does the "African Outpost" count? It would be nice to see an actual country there. I love the ideas of Greece and Egypt - so much to work with.

Before I answer I must ask, where was their any kind of press release that they actually WANT to do this and it's not just your typical internet rumor ? Or is just a hypothetical question ? As for my answer, count me in, goodbye Morocco hello Australia or Russia.

I like the idea of Russia for Morocco as well but what sort of attraction would you put there. The only thing that I can think of would be a circlevision movie. It would be nice to see the Hermitage in that format.

I don't know how popular the country from Antarctica would be.

But Ireland isn't IN the UK so that would be a bit like including Canada or Mexico in the USA pavillion!

They could do Northern Ireland.
They already have an attraction in the UK pavilion. It's called Tennent's!

Yes! I have always supported the Egypt addition. It offers many ideas and themes for rides/attractions.

Although Disney could spruce up some countries, I do love all of them and wouldn't want to see any replaced.

I wouldn't get rid of Morocco, they have some of the nicest people I've ever met working there.

I'd get rid of Italy since they really did nothing special with that pavilion and put Russia there

Okay, since a lot of people don't want to see Morocco go, then lets just move the African outpost to combine with Morocco and then put Russia in the place of the African outpost. There could be a very cool ride based on Russian folklore.

Just showing my ignorance here. How much room is there to put in a new country? I'd love to see any of the suggested countries. Russia, Egypt, Australia or India would be great additions IMO. Morocco however is beautiful to walk around. It would be hard to see one of the countries go as they are all originals.

I believe that there are currently five expansion pads that could be used.
between:
Mexico and Norway
China and Germany
Germany and Italy
Japan and Morocco
Morocco and France

I say take out USA (although I do love AA) and add SE Asia.
