Swan/Dolphin Question

I'll be staying at the Swan Resort for an upcoming business conference. Do Swan Resort guests get the same benefits as Disney property resort guests, ie, EMH's etc.

I've stayed there a few times and loved it. Basically the only difference between S/D and other Disney resorts is the ownership...you siill get the complimentary transportation, extra magic hours, etc

I don't think Swan/Dolphin guests can charge to their room card while in the parks/restaurants. They do not have access to DME.

Is it true that the Swan and Dolphin are owned by Disney but leased out to Sheridan (or whoever runs them)? If it is, is that why they seem to be quasi "Disney Resorts" as opposed to the hotels in the DTD area, which are completely independent of Disney? Are those resorts completely owned and operated by someone else, with no ownership by Disney whatsoever? It just seems to me that even though S&D and the DTD are hotels are not "Disney Resorts" per se, the former seem to have much more of a connection with WDW than the latter.

Some of the notable differences for S&D when compared to a Disney Resort.

No DME.
No Room Charging.
No Dining plan.
No package delivery.
You will be charged to park at the resort.

i believe you can have your packages delivered from the parks free of charge to the swan/dolphin. I stayed there in march of 08 and had them delivered to the gift shop.....also the food is a bit more expensive but you get what you pay for. Blue Zoo has some awesome crab nachos and some tasty adult beverages. Shulas is your typical high end steak house. The 24hr cafeteria style eatery helps out the after a night at jellyrolls :ROFLOL:
