Disappointed that Reed was voted out, but it was only a matter of time. The Alec thing, though, was somewhat intriguing. The looks on everyone's faces means something's going to happen.

And that preview I talked about earlier... it didn't happen. Unless I just dreamed that? Maybe it was a preview for the remainder of the season.

And with the previews for next week, I hope Missy doesn't have to be pulled from the game. Anyone being pulled at this point is terrible.

What was the preview thing, just curious.

I agree that pulling someone from the game at this point would just ruin the flow of the game, but at least it would allow the schedule to have a final 2 again. And game aside, I really do not like Missy...

I also really liked Reed and wished that he could have stayed, and now Keith is the only one left. I'm pulling for him and Natalie to win, Baylor is just the third vote. Everyone else I just really don't like. I went into the second episode thinking that too. Maybe its because I never really had any reflection time on the first episode?:p

I don't want to say what it was, because if it does end up happening, it will ruin a lot of surprise.

I'm cheering for Natalie, followed by Jon. I've kinda fallen off the Jon bandwagon, but I think he's the only other person who even deserves it. Nobody else has really even tried a power move.

Now that I think about it, this might have been a pretty bad move for Natalie. She was literally playing the perfect game for her tribe, as everyone in the majority alliance trusted her, was floating right along to the final 3 with the couple she chooses at final 5, and then assuming she is with Baylor and Missy in final five, they are the perfect people to win against. Maybe she did this because she felt safe having an idol? I don't know. But a much better play with her intentions would have been taking out Jaclyn.

Yeah, Twinnie blew it. She was in the perfect spot and in complete control of the situation. She had the majority alliance in the palm of her hand, has an Idol and had goats she could take to the Final 3(Missy and Bratty). She had allies on the Jury and everything. It was perfect.

Now it isn't that easy of a road. Especially with the footage they showed of Missy.

I completely agree that Jacklyn would have been the move to make since she had the hard on to hurt Jon.

I don't know whats going to happen to Missy, but I highly doubt she will be pulled from the game. Simply because it is the style of the editors to completely mislead you in those things:p

I also want to talk about the first reward challenge. First of all, I'm never a fan of this challenge, but here it was at least done well with factual information unlike a few other times. Also, of the questions they had, I liked how no one really got an unfair advantage because the answer was a loved one or themselves and they knew it. But that's not the real news story....
Jeff seemed pretty ed that they were stopping the challenge. And the producers were probably ed Jeff did stop the challenge (although, if we know anything about Jeff and those guys, theres nothing they love more than to say "this has never ever happened before!"). Kind of interesting they made the move, and the first three out was really good tv in establishing the hierarchy. And on that note, was it just me or did Jeff overall give you the feeling that he was not at all rooting for Jon and the gang, but Reed and Keith and Alec?

These episodes were classic examples of why you do NOT want to win Reward Challenges post-merge. The show's been on long enough that people should know that by now. Probst always asks you to pick people for various things, and it always makes for hurt feelings. You should just purposely miss the questions.

I read Dalton Ross's interview with Probst on EW.com and he was ed. He said that he knew Reed, Alec and Keith would be the first three out, but was hoping for a battle between the gang of five for the win. Normally, this can reveal the pecking order in an alliance. Not with this group. They started doing the math to make sure Missy would win and Probst got ed. His reasoning for stopping the challenge was why waste 5 minutes of air time when the outcome has been decided by the players. The 5 minutes could be used to show more of camp scheming or Tribal Council.

And Natalie screwed up by not taking Jacklyn out.

In listening to Rob C's podcast today, they showed a preview from last year that showed Probst saying that they will be drawing rocks. So it was a screw up by CBS and not intentional.
Ah, ok. I haven't listened to it yet, but that is interesting how they would make that mistake.

Jon does not deserve to win. He is a lousy player that would be gone by now if there were better players playing the game. Missy, as much as I don't care for her, has gotten him to where he is. She has the strongest social game making everyone feel like their mom is with them on the island. You should watch older seasons of the game to have a comparison. I think you would change your mind about Jon.

Yes you are right in my opinion. Jeff hates lazy gameplay and, unlike Julie Chen, he will call people out. That group of five is just so boring to watch: Missy with her 4 babies.

Ultimately, Natalie screwed up a couple of weeks ago when she had the chance to get out Jon.

But you have to take into consideration, the reason the probably 4 or 5 best players this season are gone because of Jon (Reed, Josh, Jeremy, Dale, and maybe Kelly, but we didn't see enough of her). Whether its a clean game or appealing to the viewer as a good person, that can be argued not. But he is not a bad player. He may sometimes get a doofy edit, but he is much smarter then it shows, his moves are thought through. And just about every episode, you get a confessional or two from him saying, "In past seasons of Survivor...so this makes sense".
Now, I don't like Jon really at all, and of course everyone could do better, but he is a good player, and if he made it to the end a great contender for the money.

...But then there's Jaclyn shouting in the background "Hey! I was working with a team with Jon the whole time, why don't I get any credit?!":p
Well, actually, thats what the first episode was about. And personally, I think its simple--In premerge, Jon got into a majority alliance with Jeremy and other good players, while Jaclyn got herself outnumbered and to the bottom of the tribe:p;)

I don't think Jon can take anymore credit for getting out the players you mentioned above than his being part of that alliance. He found a strength in numbers not to his making. Missy could take all the credit because she leads her group with a insidious energy that could have the group gladly giving her the money. If she doesn't leave like the preview of next week suggests.
Ask yourself, who has a final three and who will the jury have a difficult time berating about their gameplay?
Missy is pretty much friendly with everyone on the jury.
Jon thinks he is a good player, he thinks he orchestrates who gets voted out, and I think the power of suggestion works especially on some viewers. I stated in a prior post here about his sense of entitlement and I laughed when Natalie called him the exact same thing in the second hour.
I have watched Survivor since the beginning and this season has had some of the worst gameplay I have seen. I don't see Jon as a strong player when I compare him to the ones of past seasons. Never would two duos have been allowed to get this far. Ever.
Missy reminds me of Tina Wesson and to a lesser degree Kim Spraedlin. Both are past winners of Survivor.

I've seen several older seasons, but Jon has at least tried to do something. Yes, he's had his dumb moments. I get that you hate him, but he has tried to play the game, whereas the other just seem to be sitting back and see what happens. If there's one person that doesn't deserve to win the game, it's Keith. He unknowingly voted his son out.
