Survivor: San Juan Del Sur- Blood vs. Water II

I'm not that impressed with Jon. He lucked into the position of being in between two alliances and that kept him safe without having to strategize. When things were potentially going against him, he didn't even realize it and had to be told to play the idol. He looked clueless, too.

I'm usually only mildly interested in the "Survivors give stuff the producers bought to locals" segments, but this one touched me. I'm a huge baseball fan. I still coach my son every spring and fall, and I still play in an old man baseball league. So, watching them give the eager kids a bunch of baseball gear meant something to me. I was really happy the show did that.

I don't have Jeremy to root for, so at this point, I'm just rooting for good TV. A couples' argument? I'm there.

Yeah I don't care for Jon either, he acts entitled. Jeremy and Natalie gave Jon and Jaclyn their reward last episode and they turned around and voted out Jeremy and, this week, they could have returned the favor and given up the reward. They are spoiled, lazy people. Jon was the first to lose the immunity challenge. He just filled his stomach at the reward and then went for the food temptation in the immunity challenge. Lazy, entitled, and, like you said, lucky his alliance protected him.

Well Keith might be stupid, I mean he gave up the plan at tribal council, but at least he has a strong work ethic. He only stopped fighting for immunity when he couldn't physically do it anymore.

Natalie wow. She wanted Jon out and he would have been voted out if she didn't tell him to play his idol. She says she wants to wait and take him out next week so the girls can have the numbers. Does she not know that Jaclyn will be against her once she votes out Jon? And Missy and Baylor are a duo so Natalie is at the bottom of any kind of girls alliance she thinks she has. You guys still think she has what it takes to win?

Natalie is my favorite still to win but she didn't playing wisely. Come on Natalie, prove me wrong.

I think anyone has a chance to win. Baylor might be the only one I think wouldn't have a good case to win. Then only way she would win is if she got to go against Keith. And that'd only be if it was a final two again instead of a final three. Things can change at any moment. Not many smart players this year, but I think Reed is the smartest of the remaining ones, and I'm wanting him to win. Unfortunately he has a huge target on him.

Totally agree. Reed is my other favorite, that's why I was so disappointed that Natalie helped Jon because it hurts Reed's chances. And it looks like next week Missy gets angry at Reed for something concerning Baylor. His chances don't look good unless he wins immunity or gets one of the immunity idols that go back into play.

I never really talked about the last episode, and it kind of faded away, but here is what I remember.

We got ride of Wes, which I guess is good, because he really wasn't bringing anything to the table in terms of good TV.

Natalie is the best player there. I would have enjoyed the show more if she acted on how ed off she really was, but she was much smarter to put those feelings aside and work with who she can get to the end with. Plus, she's the only one with an idol. I hated her on TAR, but the edit shes getting is not bad...

Reed had one of the best moves all season taken right out of his throat when Keith started talking, which is a shame. It also shows that it really doesn't matter if you have the numbers, but you need the right numbers in order to succeed.

In the end, I pretty much agree with you guys on the other characters and how the season is going so far. Just a little surprised that we have 2 hours some random final 8 week, but hey, not complaining:D

You don't think it would have benefited Natalie if Jon went home this week?

Personally no. She has the alliance to back her up now. Jon has to be grateful since she literally saved his life.
Yeah Jeremy can tell tell you how Jon shows gratitude. Besides, why does she want his gratitude when her objective is to get him out?

I'm sorry, but I have never disliked anyone on Survivor in a long time more than I dislike Jon. He the complete opposite of Yau-Man Chan, who was a tough, very smart player, but also showed that Survivor could be played with integrity and compassion.

Jon is a mediocre player at best who we can't measure his abilities since he is hidden in his duo that is hidden in his alliance. What he has demonstrated is entitled behavior where he throws tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants which is usually food. He also has not shown he is loyal and that he reciprocate a good deed. So how can we expect him to show gratitude to Natalie when he had the chance last episode to give up his food reward to her like she did for him?

If Jon had gone home last episode, Natalie could have reaped the benefits of his departure while not getting her hands dirty. Jaclyn would have stayed with her as well as the rest of the alliance. Now, getting Jon out will mean she might suffer alienation from that alliance.
Remember that Missy and Baylor are together and Jaclyn will stay with them so Natalie will be on the outs if she tries to get him out now. I believe she lost her opportunity.

Just saw a preview for Survivor, and it looks like a lot could happen. A Jon and Jaclyn fight, Natalie saying she is able to flip the game while telling Keith she's smarter than she looks, which makes me think she came to him with an idea of some sort. Can't wait!

Same, it was on just a moment ago on the game. Of course, there's always the what they are making seem like a bigger thing than it really is, or literally showing you all the footage of a mini fight, but this looks great. A good two hours worth of my week for sure:D

On another note, I wonder if they will be two traditional episodes, or if two episodes worth of content will be placed over the course of two hours, technically still 2 different episodes. Such as finishing tribal council at the beginning of episode two.

Just saw previews that revealed too much. But this episode shouldn't disappoint!!
I didn't see it yet, so I don't really want to know :)p;)), but they have unfortunately done that before. For example, if there is a really interesting Tribal Council ,they might be tempted to show clips of it, not realizing they are giving away immunity challenge spoilers.

I has to do with taking out the suspense of the voting results.
