I like Stephanie too, and find myself rooting for her the most.

She lives right over the bridge from me, and I like rooting for a home town girl, haha.

And remember Reality TV mavens, the newest season of The Amazing Race premieres this Tues at 9 with Amber and Rob of Survivor fame. And not being able to manipulate and ally on this competition, they may have a problem.

Oh yeah, I can't wait for this one. It's funny how Reality "stars" are moving on to other Reality shows. Like Trista and Ryan from the Bachelorette are either going to be on fear factor or already have been. That's one reality show I can't stomach at times, so usually if it's on I miss it. I'd like to watch it just to see how they do. I'll definately be watching Amazing Race to watch Amber and Rob....anyone else hope they bring major drama to the show?

I saw Ashlee on CBS Morning News yesterday. She bacially said she wanted off and was done playing the game. She was raised in a loving and caring family and friends type of world and the scheming and positioning got to her and she didn't want to deal with it.

Has she never watched any other seasons of Survivor? Does she not know that this is how the game is played? How stupid. It seems like the second two to three people are always the ones who want to be out of the game or are the ones who basically give up.

So, is anyone watching this 97th installment of Survivor? I have to admit to still loving this game. What with all the strategizin', lyin', and backstabbin', seriously, what's not to love? Highlights of episode 1:

• Where did they find Wanda? You know, the woman who was on the boat singing some horrible song about being a Survivor? How did she pass the psych test?
• As usual, the setting is beautiful. Man, that water is clear.
• Sad Tattoo Lady really needs to take it easy. You're not the "outsider" on this show unless you allow yourself to be.
• I don't have any favorites at this point, but I can say unequivocally that Kim and Jennifer are easy on the eyes.
• It's good to see Jeff Probst as host. Especially when he called the losing team out on their strategy of hauling everything except the flint during the challenge.

Finally, I liked watching the winning team row their boat during the challenge. The guy in back (Ian, I think) actually seemed to know how to steer the boat. His team may be older, but they appear to be smarter.

They found it. The connected a rope to it and pulled it up. I was very impressed with them.

Ratings, baby, ratings. Freaks and Geeks didn't get the ratings, period. End of show. Reality shows get the ratings. They make the networks money. They are cheap to produce. They get the ratings. They don't have to pay actors. They get the ratings. People obviously like to watch them. They get the ratings. It looks like you don't get it. Oh god why do people see the title of some threads and decide to open it and complain ?? Yes, i'm sick of some of the other reality shows that are on, but I choose not to watch them. Therefore I also don't open the threads discussing them and chastising those who do watch them. Simple enough !!

And if it means 1 less cop/lawyer/doctor/detective show then maybe they do have a positive side.

As for this version, you know the steelworker (James ??) is going to butt heads with someone sooner or later. Is anyone else as grossed out as I am when Angie lift's her arms :hurl: Watch out for Ian the dolphin trainer. Brings alot to the game while not making himself a target. And the eye candy isn't to bad either........the girls of course :lol:

I do like Angie, I hope she goes far. I like Tom on the other team also, i'm just afraid he'll have a target on his back once they merge. I still say they need to have a Survivor where the winning team gets to vote one of the other team off. That would change things up a bit. They wouldn't know who's aligned with who or who works hard, they would just be voting off who they think the best competitor is. I keep hoping they'll do something like that.
